Room was very clean, location was amazing, simple but perfect. Front desk staff is really nice and helpful, cleaning crew helped us find an amazing breakfast location.

I so so very much enjoy coming here and staying with the wonderful kind people at the village Marina motel. The place is perfectly located right at the water. When I arrived I went straight for the boat to go fishing. When I return from my fishing trip I checked into my room with a lovely lady who kept me smiling with simple conversation. I believe it's the same lady I meet every year when I visit. I got my key went into my room and of course the air conditioner was on the place was very neat. There was no sign that anyone had previously stayed there as the room did not smell of smoking nor of anything that would cause you to have a uncomfortable and dissatisfied night. But that is what I expect of this place because that is what the village Marina staff does they make sure you're comfortable in a clean environment. The refrigerator, microwave, sink, table, bed, sheets pillow cases, carpet, bathroom, television, and even the Bible where all in great order. No one died go back every year where else should I go? I will return.

We checked in late with no problem. We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and spaciousness of our room for a beach motel. It looks great and, while we only spent one night, it would be a nice place to spend a few days while on the area. Highly recommend for a good value in this area.

Our Nags Head house rental started on Sunday and we wanted to stay in the area on Saturday night. Everything was >$300 per night. Only cheaper options were on the mainland. Then the day before, this popped up. We were happy to be able to stay on Outer Banks for <$130. You get what you pay for. Decent place to crash and wake up in a sleep, fishing village. Great location near two decent dining options, short walk to the General store. Basic room. Bed frame was broken in the middle and slanted like a “V”. Needs to be updated. Not a bad option if you’re here to catch an early fishing charter. Wish they could do a later checkout than 9am, but understandable considering staffing shortage that is everywhere.

2 adults in an upstairs room. Very well priced. Clean. Beds were very comfortable. The refrigerator had plenty of room. Nice counter space for a kitchenette. Appreciated the ceiling fans in the two main rooms. AC worked well. Enjoyed not having lots of kids running around and screaming (no pool!) so we could enjoy the sounds of the ocean over the sound of tourist families.

We had two rooms upstairs. Although there are only 12 rooms total, it was a busy little spot due to DInky's seafood across the parking lot. Once the restaurant shut down for the night (nothing is open late in the Village!), it quieted down and there was plenty of parking. If you arrive between 5-9 p.m., you might have a bit of a walk across the lot. There are stairs involved even on the first floor.||||There were boats going out early but with the AC running that were undetectable. Ceiling fans available in living room (trundle bed for 2) and in the bedroom (2 beds). I wouldn't want to have stayed if I were a family of four but for 2 adults it was fine. The kitchenette was perfect for two people to prepare a simple microwave dinner. Fridge was decent size. Unending Ice available from the ice room.||||Beds were surprisingly comfortable. TVs in living and bedroom that we never used. ||||Bathroom is not huge but it was clean with a decent shower head. ||||If you are looking for a place to sleep, eat and run out the door, it works. If you like to hang out in a room, I'd go for a larger hotel.||||Staff was very friendly and saw to our every request quickly. ||||Not your standard hotel but loved the fact that it was quiet and quaint. Without a pool, there were few children and not really for families.

Wanted to like the place and just can’t. Checkout is at an absurd 9am… there were hairs on the “clean” plates. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner because all you get is a small bar of soap. The sofa should have been replaced a decade or two ago. Bed felt like it still had plastic on it so wasn’t breathable. Design of the room we were in meant the front room was frigid and the back sleeping room was hot. The a/c is in the front only and there isn’t any air forced or vented to the back room. It was too hot to sleep! Oh yea, the ice machine is broken too. Wish I could get half my money back because yes they put a roof over our head but nothing much more. Will find a different place on our next visit to the island.

I just spent two nights at the Village Marina Motel in Hatteras Village. I travel extensively for work, and spend a lot of time on the road. The was one of the cleanest motels that I have ever stayed in. It is a simple, no frills motel, but the beds are comfortable and the rooms are large. It is also within walking distance to several restaurants and shops. The location right on the marina is perfect for fisherman with everything you need right at your front steps. After reading a couple of the reviews I was concerned about staying here, but I could not have been more pleased with my stay. The room did not have the musty smell that many beach hotels have, it just smelled fresh. The tile floors were spotless and the bed linens were crisp and comfortable. If you're looking for an affordable comfortable and safe place to stay, I don't think you can go wrong with this place. I met several people that worked here, and everyone was very accommodating and helpful. If I'm back in the area I would definitely stay again, and I'm hard to please!
