Wow! I’m beyond upset by our experience with the holiday pies. My 80 year old mom ordered 3 pies a week before Thanksgiving…one of them being French silk. This location said they would have curb side pickup as she has trouble getting around. When she got there they were not doing curbside. There was a line of inside of 20 people ahead of her waiting for the pie order. Everyone was waiting on a French silk. They were told they were making them and they would have to wait. My mom waited for well over an hour for her French silk to be done. When they handed her the pies it looked like a French silk with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. Then last night, we cut into it and starting eating it. It was actually a pecan supreme pie! VI just disguised the pie to get the people out the door!! Thank god no one in our family had a pecan allergy or we’d be making a trip to the ER. How deceptive, lazy and wreck-less this is to just sell a pie. They should’ve told the truth that they oversold and given our money back. We’ve tried to call the restaurant and they aren’t answering. Here’s a pic of the pie, you can clearly see the pecan supreme under the whipped cream. It looks like they added a chocolate layer on top of the pecan?
Just wanted to start off and say the service was great. However, everything else seems to fall off. The food was ok, other than the tiny kids burger (see image)... The actual meat is tiny and the rest is just bread and cheese.
I'm writing this review in hopes that the restaurant will change sometime in the future. The carpeted floors are so old and run down you see the blacks of the base material. The AC wasn't running, or very little, so it felt a bit humid and warm inside. You also wait a long time to get food. We went during the weekday, and waited over 45 min to get our food. Not sure if there was only one cook.
Overall, the quality is getting worse and we decided to not return to this location going forward. It's unfortunate, as we used to go often.
I went out with my girlfriends whole family here and we had a fantastic time. They put together a big table for us (as we are a party of 10) and had no issue! We came on a Sunday for breakfast.
Staff was great, they were very warm and friendly once you get seated and very attentive to the table. Even offered refills without needing to be asked!
The food was surprisingly amazing. I guess chain dinners get a bad wrap because this village inn surpassed my every expectation. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and they tasted like most diner biscuits and gravy but I still loved it! My girlfriend on the other hand got the skillet something and that was absolutely amazing. A plate full of almost all protein but was still delicious.
Highly recommend!
Update. I rarely rip on a place, I’d rather not review them but this only got worse (note we have a Wednesday night weekly get together of 4 to 10 folks) After VI reached out based on the first review (read below) things changed, the first revisit was great and the food was excellent (see photo). The next two times were terrible. Both time I ordered an item and asked for bacon on the side (I don’t eat it for religious reasons). The first visit back the omelet was served with the bacon so I asked for it to be fixed. The food was served again but they simply took the bacon out and reheated it. When I asked it to be remade the cook was noticeably upset (I walked it back to explain why taking it off wasn’t acceptable for me). The next time the sandwich was served with the bacon on a separate plate, awesome. Sadly, after a couple of bites I realized the sandwich was prepared with the bacon on it and having never eaten bacon ever (perhaps coupled with a psychosomatic response) sent me to the sink and ultimately toilet. When I got back to my chair and my friend saw me sick realized he had heard the waitress tell the cook the bacon was supposed to be on the side. Obviously the cook made it contrary to the order and instead of doing the right thing pulled the bacon off and put it on the side. The manager felt “terrible” and gave me a $5.00 coupon to come back, lol. Not only is this incredibly unethical, it was a violation of my trust and beliefs which is unacceptable by any business. As I said, I don’t write bad reviews but I feel after two events it’s necessary to let VI know there is a problem. And it’s not just this restaurant, I’ve had similar incidents at other VI’s I simply let go. Since I’ve moved my group to a different chain I hope they’ll figure out how to train their staff better.
Original unedited review: (intro)The cheese “omelet” was actually a joke, it’s was a folded egg with cheese sprinkled on top, I thought the definition of omelet was the egg around the filling (considering that’s what it’s called on the menu). The waitress was great and even cooked the toast last so everything was warm when it arrived… I’d say hot but I think that’s reserved for coffee only.
Go there once a month or so. The food is always prepared well, and the service is usually good. This time I had to request to be waited on after sitting for 10 minutes watching others being served. Another server kept looking at us but never approached to help us. When he finally came he was surely and abrupt. After we were served he never checked on us again, we had to request the check and he didn't say one word to us. Hope he's gone when and if we go back.
Delicious holiday pie! Came in for pumpkin and cherry after I called ahead. Very busy, but they had a pie line and dedicated workers. I checked my order and we were good to go! Delicious!
Be careful with holiday pies here! We ordered well in advance. 2 pumpkin, 1 French silk. The wait to pick up was absurd. We were told they were out of French silk, despite ordering well in advance. They handed us what we assumed and trusted was French silk. When we ate it at Thanksgiving dinner last night, we discovered they had removed their Whole Caramel Pecan pie, put in plain whip and chocolate slivers and lied. Now they will not answer their phones. They are lucky we didn't have a nut allergy in our group, but they likely did this with others and who knows if they made someone sick. I will follow up if there is any response, but we have pictures and the uneaten pie. So deceptive.
Delicious, quiet, pleasant, quick, satisfying, & the list continues! What a lovely Saturday brunch we had. Vickie was a delightful host, & I ate every bite, while enjoying a mug of hot green tea. We love Arapahoe Crossings for several reasons, & this Village Inn just became another one.
We rolled in just after 1:30pm to a bustling place with a fun atmosphere. Bill was AWESOME - greeted us, invited us in, wiped down the bar counter and served us with a smile (it was apparent they were a bit busy!) but he was efficient and had some g
1st time checking out Parkside Eatery & Taco Choi. Very tasty however I think it would improve the appearance and food if each taco had its own unique sauce and or toppings to give it more flair and flavor.
The parking lot was a bit shady, but the place was amazing. Food comes in large portions -- they were really good but we could only finish half of what we ordered. The spicy soup was my favorite, but the curry was great too. Their service was top-not
Excellent dog park for fur babies to have some off-leash fun time! It has trails, water, sand beach, native landscape set in a mountain range backdrop. The only con would probably be the entry price, it is $11 for the state park (the dog park is pa

Absolutely amazing cuisine. The meat was cooked extremely well and the sides were very delicious. My wife had the steak and it was cooked to perfection and she truly enjoyed it. We also had the break for the appetizer and it was great. I suggest
Stopped in on the way to Denver and would definitely come back! Their selection is quite large for beverages, and even though they do not serve food they openly encourage ordering food in or bringing your own! They are also pet friendly, so we enjoye
We stopped to have a walk in a different place yesterday. There is access to the trails here and we were just curious where they went. What a great spot!!! The trails are extensive and the parks are so cute! This one is handicapped friendly and one o
Shade! Covered picnic tables, restrooms, and lots of things for kids to play on, much of which is shady. Adjacent to the playground are ball fields, open space, and a forested creek with lots of birds. When kids aren't laughing and playing loudly, yo
I have nothing but nice things to say about this place. We were told 20 minute wait, ended up being about 5 minutes. The service was great and our server was charismatic and attentive. Food came out literally within 10 minutes, before the lattes were
Very beautiful park. I absolutely love the prairie dogs!!! Definitely the highlight of the trip. Walked my dog along the path and she loved seeing the prairie dogs as well. Lots of picnic areas by the lake. We had a nice lunch there. They have Porta
