Village Inn - Breakfast restaurant in Omaha - 2525 S 180th St, USA

I worked at this location for over six months. It was the worst employment experience I have ever had. The manager was unkind and not understanding. She would not pay attention to the time off requests in the app, and would often deny time off requests even if they were 6+ months in advance, and not for extended periods of time. As wait staff, we were expected to do 10 times the amount of work that we were being paid for and the managers were never helpful or willing to do anything other than sit in the office during crazy rushes. I had numerous bad experiences with customers where I would end up in tears, and the managers would not help to fix the situation. The restaurant is filthy and servers will often touch food and rearrange plates with their bare, unwashed hands. The manager would often not respond to my texts Or calls when I would ask questions about my schedule or about work meetings. Eventually, the manager ghosted me. I then sent a text message about quitting and did not receive a response. One of the cooks made several inapropriate comments to me, a minor, and was fired a couple of months later, apparently, because he had no call-no showed too many times. I have no idea if the manager spoke to him about these comments. I would not recommend eating here. I would like to note that most of my coworkers at the time were great. I only had issues with the male and female managers and the one cook, who I mentioned, that was fired. I have a lot of respect for the people who work their butts off at that establishment. I just wish they would go and work somewhere where they were respected by management.

The service was wonderful, the breakfast would have been okay, but I will never understand why they had the breakfast potatoes in the Breakfast Skillets spiced with Italian seasonings at all; let alone as much as was in it. That's all I could taste so I ordered some onion rings.

Ordered an adult grilled cheese. Idk about you but usually when I make grilled cheese, the cheese is melted.

Haven't been here in years, but I'm glad to give it another try. The food was great, everything tasted delicious and the price was very reasonable. Very comparable to any other popular breakfast restaurants in the area, which is a huge improvement for Village Inn. Our server, Zoe, was also amazing. Even after working all day, she was really friendly, quick to help us, always had a smile, and helped us have a relaxing dinner. We will be back.

Whoever manages this location needs a pat on their back and a Thank You. The design of the building isn't one like I've seen before. Looks updated, clean, and welcoming. Upon entry, I was immediately greeted and seated. The table, menu, and seating were all clean. Upon seating I was immediately asked what beverage I wanted. I was given a few minutes to decide what to eat. I loved the immediate service. The wait time was appropriate for the food arrival. The food was perfect. Nothing was too greasy, undercooked, or overdone. The toast was outstanding. It's just toast, but this toast was done right. The pancakes were excellent, and the eggs (scrambled) were marvelous. Usually either too runny or overcooked. The other items were also perfectly done. The wait staff were pleasant and made conversation with the regulars (I assume they were regulars when they refer to them by name and ask how the family is, and their holiday plans). At the end of the meal upon settling check the cashier was busy, so another wait staff member came to assist. This was the first Village Inn that I've been to that "waiting" was not an issue and things were correct. I will be back again.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Our server, Darby, was a joy and extremely patient with our group that included 5 kids. Food was perfect, quick, and delicious. Absolutely will be back. Highly recommend.

I was out with friends and some of didn't get to have turkey on Thanksgiving so we went to Village Inn for lunch. Some of our group had Turkey dinners for lunch and pumpkin pie for dessert. The food was great and it was great to actually eat a traditional Thanksgiving meal this past weekend 😋

magical place! Great customer service great food! lots of holiday decorations really made 2020 a merry and safe place to eat. Will be returning soon thanks again to the friendly waitress and my compliments to the chef. (I always ordered the California skillet meal!!) kids eat free on Monday and Tuesday with adult purchase
