John and JulieAnne are an absolute delight to stay with! Their hospitality is one-of-a-kind and their breakfasts will keep you going all day. The grounds are beautiful; a flower garden and gazebo compliment a pool and jacuzzi, along with a fire pit. Very accommodating and relaxing!
My wife and I spent our 40th anniversary at the Villa. John and Juliann are tremendous hosts. As soon as we walked in and met them you can feel such a great comfortable easy going vibe both of them have. They really make you feel comfortable and go out of there way to accommodate anything that you need, and John's breakfasts "rock"! What a great way to start off your day. We enjoyed our stay so much that we booked a weekend in the fall to celebrate our birthdays.
I am not one to write reviews, but felt the need to after spending a weekend here. We were blown away by the hospitality and service. The innkeepers go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay with thoughtful gestures. Breakfast was incredible (100% would stay just for the breakfast), room was well appointed, comfortable, and as described on the website. The pool and garden are beautiful. 5 minute drive from the beach, although the pool was so lovely we spent most of our time there! We definitely intend to return in the future and are already referring our family and friends here! Thank you for a wonderful vacation!
We loved our 4 night stay in the Blue Grotto room at The Villa. The location is ideal to visit quaint RI and CT villages and beaches. The room was large and the pool and grounds were beautiful. The hosts, John and JuliAnn, were so welcoming and kind. John is a master cook who makes amazing breakfasts. I’m not talking just omelets and yogurt…eggs Benedict, breakfast burritos, homemade blueberry muffins, an egg soufflé to die for! Can’t wait to go back sometime in the fall!
A wonderful 4 night stay. The property is lovely - and in a great location - but the care and attention given by John and JulieAnn elevates it to a 5 star stay. The breakfasts are varied and delicious - from figs to made to order omelettes to freshly baked goods and more (the oatmeal cookies are outstanding) and John and JulieAnn are caring, creative, and interesting hosts. Cannot ask for more!
A lovely experience. Wonderful grounds, gracious and accommodating host and hostess. Top shelf made to order breakfast included. The rooms are well equipped with hot tubs and many w/ gas fireplace. What more could you ask for? Near many Rhode Island beaches and attractions. We are already planning our next visit.
We went to the Villa for our honeymoon and are so happy we did. So much to recommend it: the friendly innkeepers (John and JuliAnne Thomas), the beautiful location, the food, including all the homemade baked goods, the spacious room, luxurious bedding and towels, the in-suite jacuzzi, and minutes from the beach and downtown. The grounds are lush and beautiful and with only eight suites, it truly feels like a personal touch experience. Before our arrival. we didn't tell the hosts that we were on our honeymoon. Within our first hour there, we were gifted a pony of champagne and a petite (and delicious) wedding cake. If you are looking for a luxury, boutique experience, look no further. Thank you, John and JuliAnne, for such a wonderful weekend!
I can't say enough good things about this little BnB! The innkeeper hosts are lovely people. They thought of all the little details; beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, ice, snacks and even a fridge full of beer. The breakfast was delicious and made fresh just for us. You can basically order whatever you like. The pool and grounds were lovely. We stayed in the Rosa room and it had plenty of space, was clean and very comfortable. It is located less than a 5 minute drive from Misquamicut Beach which was also a great spot to enjoy the afternoon with plenty of parking and beach bar and restaurant options. If you get the chance to make a little getaway down here, do it! We could only stay for a short time but it was just enough to recharge our batteries.
