This place is a national treasure and should be protected at all costs! No seriously, I found this place several months ago and it has been an absolute nostalgic dream to walk into Video Exclusive. They have an amazing collection of hard to find horror, classics, and foreign films not to mention all your old faves and new releases! The three staff members at the helm of this place are outstanding! They are super knowledgeable and give great recommendations. If you’re tired of endlessly scrolling your algorithm on Netflix, run don’t walk down to video exclusive. On god I drive out to Dearborn from Ypsilanti twice a week to get stuff from these folks!
Video Exclusive is the healing, physical media based cure for your Netflix induced fatigue and boredom! Pick up a movie and snack or even dinner from a food truck, take it home and pop it in. Then find yourself going back for more because it just feels right. No need for endless scrolling or internet that craps out right at the climax. Just good movies, affordable rental fees and awesome staff. I'm hoping this place holds on long enough to encourage others to start a video store revival, just like what vinyl has done to revive music stores, because it all just makes for an enjoyable experience!
I live in ohio. But come out here every weekend. It's nice seeing a video store to rent again. Love the wide selection to.
