Great park! Super crowded every bday the sun is shining lots of cool soccer tournaments, and runners groups that keep it very active as well. There are bad water fountain that every NYC park has, which I think doesn't give clean water. The new track and grass field is cool! Near the handball courts there is a large unused concert space that the city should paint into a basketball court, or something similar.
I really enjoy this park, it's located adjacent to Forest Park and the amazing walking trails and closed to the bandstand (across Woodhaven). There's a great track and plenty of areas for playing all types of sports. Plenty of shady areas with benches to sit, relax and enjoy the weather. Really easy access to via SBS Q52 & Q53 MTA Bus. Best of all most of the water fountains work, but more importantly I always feel safe here no matter what time of day.
Audit. For legal Americans and the people. 1. Quality went down since 2019-- a lot of drugs and alcohol bottles broken all over the dirt trails. Not safe for children. Police and parks doing nothing even though they are here. No enforcement for smoking weed in a park and around children. Illegal. 2. Large unhealthy bodies of water due to no drainage and pipes leaking. 3. Dogs are off leash on trails with owners not near them. Regularly, it's the culture. Parks workers not seen except the same young black woman who cleans the entire Forest park from Victory to 80th street Park Lane.
Amazing and beautiful park and surroundings. • J train near by on Jamaica ave (woodhaven blvd. is the name of the stop.) • Popeyes, Chinese, McDonald’s etc near train. •baseball, basketball, track, workout section, handball, soccer, football, all available. •abandoned train tracks also near park (cool for pics) •lots of walking space and trails to enjoy and walk/run •lots of bike paths •grocery store near.
Awesome!!! Good forest field to walk , run and do too many kind of sports… whatever you like. Quiet and Cozy…
We are using the track for training on daily basis and smoking issue is just growing. Parents that waiting for their kids sitting around and smoke. Tonight we had speed work on the track, where two young girls were walking around smoking weed. That is really a top of everything. There are runners, athletes, kids you can't be that idiot smoking weed on the running track. When I warned them, they were very rude to me and said it's a public park they can do whatever they want. No one seems to care about what's going on there? Toilet is disgusting as well. Watertaps are broken. It's a shame. The park is clearly going down. Workers do nothing there.
It was just like I remembered it, with some minor improvements. Take the kids, plenty of room for them to run, jump and play. But please keep the little ones from playing on the track. Someone nearly tripped over a tyke jogging on it.
Went there for track workout session but it was too crowded. kids were just playing soccer on the tracks so couldnt run on my pace had to stop every now and then. Maybe it was wrong time to go.
Jacob Riis Park in Rockaway is a natural gem on the outskirts of New York City. With its 50 acres of lush woods, this park offers a serene escape from the urban hustle and bustle. The dense foliage creates a picturesque setting for hiking, picnicking
Iâm a spring baby and this park was my haven this year. So many interesting surprises along my hike through it. One of my little gems. Itâs clean and never crowded. I spot blue jays and other colorful birds and wild cats. Feels great being wrap
If you have small kids, donât even think of going to other beaches at Far Rockaway but here. Iâve been taking my kids here every summer since 2018 and Iâve always found a parking spot for free right next to the playground. We ONLY go on weekday
One of the smaller parks out here, yet its fairly well kept and shown to be a great place to hangout or even take a small walk around before you head back home.
Attended the park on Sunday evening for an event called the Dope Day Party. It goes from 3-pm - 10 pm. Got there around 7:30 and had a hard time finding parking. You can park on premises but at 7:30 when we got there the lot was full. Had a GREAT tim
A yoga studio should feel like home and honestly I am yogi studio feels just like that . Growing up in south east queens , there wasnât always a focus on health and wellness. I have often had to travel into other boroughs and zip codes to be able t
I am attending Francesco's classes and he is simply amazing! I'm not a sporty woman but during his lessons I have to admit that time flies and I have always so much fun. It's great for me that I am always in a hurry and I have not a fixed working tim
Great shop, always well supplied with all the varieties of smoke product and well priced. And most importantly lots of Nepali snacks and a truly exceptional service, above and beyond.
The workers are extremely nice peopleâ¦the food is tasty and flavorful. This was my second time eating here but my first time going in person and just meeting the people who work inside makes you want to go back⦠Check them out !
