This was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast and I am glad we did! The house was beautiful and so clean. We stayed in Sir James room and it was spacious, clean, and had a private bathroom. The back patio is a great touch - perfectly shaded in the summer with a great warm breeze. Sherry was an excellent host - very friendly, personable, and hospitable. The breakfast was delicious. If I ever go back to Algonquin, I would stay here over any of the hotels. The location is also great - it is right downtown Algonquin with great restaurants, walking/biking paths, ice cream & coffee shops, within in walking distance.
If I could give 10 stars I would. Sherry...the hostess extraordinare makes your visit one of a kind.
Is she a master chef? She said no....but I beg to differ. Food is beyond excellent served to you in an elegant setting.
Rooms are clean.....comfy....and detailed for ur comfort.
Without hesitation I would recommend Victorian Rose Garden to anyone.
Take a step back in time....enjoy the detail and delight of this homespun B and B....enjoy downtown Algonquin......downtown Crystal Lake....but most of all enjoy Sherry's hospitality ......her genuine warmth ...and her fabulous food.
I mis her already!

Thank you Sherry for hosting my mother and sister. They said that the breakfast was great and they had a lovely and relaxing time. They both felt very much at home at the Victoria Rose Garden. I will definitely, let people know of your B&B.

Best B&B I’ve ever stayed at! Sherry is the sweetest and makes everything so comfortable with her own personal touch. I admire her so much running this inn. In a great location by Fox River, lots of cute restaurants walkable distance. Stayed here twice so far!
This was one of my favorite weekend stays of all time! The whole property is cozy, dreamy and very well-designed. We stayed in the presidential suite - the bed was comfy, the complimentary drinks were a lovely touch, but my absolute favorite part was the deep claw foot tub. Sherry was a doll and made sure to introduce all the guests to one another when she served breakfast in the morning, which was super tasty. My husband and I were so sad that our plans changed and we had to check out a day early. We will definitely be choosing the Victorian Rose Garden next time we're in town!
I booked a weekend at the Victorian Rose Garden B & B with friends recently for an event in Chicago. I thought I was booking just a room, but what we had was an entire experience. Sherry graciously opens her home and makes you feel welcomed and more like friends than guests. We enjoyed this lovely Victorian home and all it had to offer. Our room had a wonderful feel including a private bathroom with a claw foot tub. If you are looking for a place without interaction from your host, this is not the place for you. Sherry greats you when you arrive, sat down at breakfast to share in the conversation and was always on hand if needed. If you are looking to be treated like family I would definitely recommend checking into this lovely B & B!
My husband and I stayed in Lady Teresa's Room. The room is relaxing with beautiful old world feel and all the modern comforts. The morning breakfast was delicious and elegant. Our only regret was that we did not have time to visit the neighborhood because there are many places to walk to and we will definitely make more time for that next visit. What a jewel we found.

I live locally to the restaurant and ordered for to-go. I was greeted right when I walked in by the kid at the front desk. Iâm guessing it was the owner who came from the back with huge smile on his face asked if I was Sean, said my order was just
Great Mexican food! Ordered nachos with chicken and guacamole for starters. The red sauce on the table had a real good kick to it. Then had the chorizo taco dinner. Jorge the manager added a grilled habanero ð¶ï¸ when I asked for more spice. Delic
