Victoria Palms RV Resort - RV park in Donna - 602 N Victoria Rd, USA

We stayed as a Thousand Trails Member for 10 days. We really loved the resort. There was a train that came through occasionally but didnt seem to after 11:30. We make plenty of friends around the very active pool and a wonderful dance with a great band. Having an affordable restaurant on site was great too. This park is in the city but has that tropical feel. We loved it! We really wanted to stay longer but was told no availability. There were still plenty of sites when we left in that area. Would have even considered full time.

This park was beautifully maintained. The recreation center was beautifully decorated for Christmas. There is a hotel on site, but I can't say much for that since we stayed in the park in an RV. Our campsite was perfect & clean for us. The restrooms were clean. The homes in the park were well maintained along with their lawns. We would definitely stay at this park again.

This is a nice Encore park. We are Thousand Trails members, so we can stay up to 14 days on our membership. Great value, and VP reserves a section at the very back of their park for TT members. We thought these sites were some of the best in the park, aside from the luxury sites in that one section to the east of the craft center. These sites parallel the Business 83 road and the train tracks, but at night there is very little road traffic and the trains go by only once or twice a day.||Our biggest problems and reason for the 3-star rating are #1 they lock up the trash dumpsters so you can only access them with a “clicker” that annuals have. We were told to set the trash by our site on Sunday evening for pick up Monday morning. Problem was both Mondays were holidays, and we generate more than one bag of trash in a week. So staff told us to set the trash bag by the recycle dumpsters, which are accessible to everyone. A well meaning non-American speaking neighbor threw every bag of trash into the recycle bin, completely screwing up their system. #2: the annuals/seasonal guests were very unfriendly towards us. We tried many times to engage in conversation at the dog parks, or on walks, and were greeted with disdain or coldness very time. I realize this is not a problem with management, but nonetheless it was off putting. And #3, the black mosquito problem was terrible. We figured it was just the south Texas problem, but we moved to Sunshine in Harlingen where they sprayed for mosquitos and we had no problem there.||So, staff very friendly, guests not, and they should unlock the dumpsters and spray for mosquitoes in our humble opinion.

We were there for a dance. The band/entertainment was awesome. The assigned seating was a terrible idea. There are many of us that won't be back if that continues.

It is an older motel that is pretty well kept. Apparently, a large retirement community in the RV park. The room was clean and spacious just very dated with an ok remodel job. It has an event center that seems to be popular also. Very reasonable prices, and everyone was friendly.

The only negative I would have is based on location only. The park was outstanding, but the surrounding neighborhood during Christmas and New Year had way too much fireworks and the train blows it's whistle continuously as it passes by.

Our Suite was wonderful and the Staff to the Maid service couldn’t have been better. Location excellent and price very reasonable. Didn’t use the pool but will next time. Spent 3 weeks there.

Our home for the winter. We have no experience with the hotel but heard reports of molds in some rooms. Folks in the RV park are friendly and welcoming.
