If you're a sweet tea person, like myself. This is the place, to have a refreshing glass of sweet tea. Food was delicious, service was excellent and vibe was great. My 91yr young auntie had a baby grand piano, a few years ago. Anytime she sees a piano, she play Georgia on My Mind. And she still has it, at 91. Everyone smiled and gave her, a round of applause. Precious memories were made!
We decided to take a road trip and on the way stopped by Savannah. My family is from the south though I am a native New Yorker, so I have high expectations when it comes to Southern food and especially my grits. This place far exceeded expectations and had a wonderful atmosphere! We did come during January and it was freezing for Georgia but the staff was attentive, courteous and professional despite the slow season. Hostess and waitress were super nice. Beautiful atmosphere across from the river with high end finishes and very clean. We ordered breakfast.. my husband got the eggs Benedict and a Bloody Mary and I got the shrimp and grits. They were amazing and I will definitely come back to see it in the summer. PS - we stayed at the Hyatt and there is actually an elevator down to the river walk IN the hotel. We walked around outside trying to figure out how to get down there.
The complimentary biscuits and butter were the best biscuits I’ve ever had. They were warm, soft, fluffy and with the right amount of hold to the entire pastry. We had the Southern classic of Fried Green Tomatoes, and they did not disappoint. The goat cheese paired with the balsamic glaze over a thinly crisped coat of a not-soggy-at-all tomato was so enticing. The Crawfish Beignets were so fluffy and delicate. The French Onion Soup had an incredible cheese-pull. The Char Grilled Octopus was so tender and just the right amount of grill aroma. The entree Crab Cakes were so full of crab and a beautiful flavor that was brought out in the seafood. The couscous to pair were wonderfully seasoned too. The Pan Seared Scallops were so juicy and paired perfectly with the lemon herb cream. The Pecan Fried Flouder was so tender and delicious and so was the Grilled Salmon. We also got one tail of a lobster and that was incredibly juicy and well made. The waiter was also incredibly fun and nice.
Some of the best food we've had in Savannah, and definitely the best tasting cocktails. The servers were professional & savvy with menu recommendations. The special was ribeye with mushroom gravy on potato mash with side of asparagus; everything was amazing. Dinner entertainment was a bit weird. Had a guy place piano & singing a duet with a lady which was okay but her tambourine skills were off. Overall, I recommend for a nice dinner though and start it with the she-crab soup.
Had a killer dinner with my wife and child here the other night. The buildings history and ambiance are top tier. The wait staff is highly attentive and knowledgeable of there kitchen and menu. The food is delicious, well presented and prepared, and the portions are adequate. Thanks for the great meal guys!😋
Great experience at Vic's on the River for dinner. We arrived as soon as they started seating for dinner (5pm) so we got seated right away but the tables quickly filled up! Our waitress was very knowledgeable on the specials and menu and recommended some great dishes. We ordered the calamari, beef short ribs, a special which was halibut with crab risotto, and the pecan pie. All delicious with no complaints! This is now at the top of my list for best restaurants in Savannah!
5 Star service through and through. Vic's on the River speaks elegance with stunning views of the waterfront. Vic's is rich in history, where they even found an old map of the Chattanooga Trail when doing renovations, that is now part of the wall on display behind glass. Vic's on the River from start to finish was superb. The staff are extremely attentive and really nice and accommodating. I recommend Vic's on the River to all for a stellar meal and a phenomenal atmosphere. 5 Star Service again and again. Savannah, GA is full of rich history and dining that you will never forget.
We ate too much! Everything was so good. Salad was larger than expected, i could not eat it all. I did not get pictures of our meal, I had shrimp scampi and my husband had the steak and fries. Will definitely go back!
We stumbled upon this place as we arrived in Savannah, it was a gem, though, the weight was long, but not as long as you would think with us only being two people we waited about 25 minutes as we explored the area around the restaurant. The food was
This is a Savannah must eat ! The food is just too good and so is the ambiance. Try to reserve places ahead of time, or else you need to be patient for at least an hour to get a table! Good things come at a price . The blackened oysters were too much
Was traveling through and had the privilege of working out with a fun and talented group. The online sign up was super easy, was able to sign my waiver and reserve a class in a jiff. The gym was conveniently located and a quick walk from my hotel. T
I love the community and teachers at Savannah Power Yoga! Also the NEW LOCATION in Wilmington is GORGEOUS. They have thought of everything to have a clean, beautiful aesthetic with a spacious feel. When Iâm visiting Charleston itâs my hOMe studio
