Freshly remodeled, the Prior Lake VFW is looking good! Service is generally good, drinks are generous and reasonably priced. The place still isn't "upscale," but it isn't trying for that either. If you're looking for a beer or cocktail and a bite to eat, you likely won't be disappointed.

The atmosphere is inviting and affordable drinks can be found. Best of all, their food is always tasty! Supporting our local VFW has been a pleasure for us every time and we would recommend this establishment to anyone.

Have been going to steak fry for years, always been fantastic. Went to steak fry December 9th very disappointed had some kind of rub on steak which was very peppery! Four of us agreed not good. Leave the seasoning to the customer not the chef! Will not return until changes are made
Tons of fun. Staff was amazing. We got there kinda late and their had a birthday party so it was kinda of crowded...but super fast serves. Not sure what was up with the birthday group. Didn't see any signs saying the venue was closed for a private event. But the ppl attending the bday party acted like it was their space. We asked the staff it we crashed a private party. They reassured us we were all welcome!
Great eating place for inexpensive good food and drink. Can get busy on a Friday or Saturday night, but service is normally good. Regular menu is limited during week nights and every other Saturday, so check their schedule... Good steak and shrimp fry on alternate Saturdays. A nice night out without breaking the bank!!
I had a meeting with friends from various parts of Minnesota and had lunch with my wife before the meeting. The server was very friendly and helpful. The food and beer were delicious. I would dine here again.
I was dancing at the VFW. Band and service was very nice but it is always too warm.....no air flow....and they allow drinkers on the floor that spill drinks.
