I invested with VPI in a new field in September 2023. I have no other affiliation or relationship with VPI other than as a well investor. VPI drilled twelve total wells in this field. I invested in two. While the project timeline is longer than anyone planned, VPI completed unexpected investments to make the project work. At no time have they asked for more money to complete the project. I have experienced Dan Sauer and his team to be serious professionals. Their communication has been acceptable and their commitment to project success excellent.

I am confident in my investments in VPI oil wells. I have invested in other company’s wells before investing in 2 VPI wells. I find Dan Sauer of Vertical Petroleum Industries to be honest, earnest, forthright and always working to maximize the returns for our aligned interests. Dan & VPI invest for a portion of ownership in each well alongside investors. They have skin in the game. I have watched VPI solve weather problems (ground too soft to support big rigs bringing in drill equipment) using their funds - not coming back to investors. I have seen them deal with disposing excess water from a well - again at their cost, not investors. Dan is a stand up guy. I have visited one of my wells in OK – and seen other VPI wells in the area. They were well run by quality people and vendors. I have met and know all of the VPI reps and talk with them about 3-4 times a year at various conferences. I also have visited the home office in Ardmore to see how the back office runs. I understand that investing in oil drilling has inherent risk greater than other investments – this is balanced by potentially greater rewards and by tax favored treatment. I realize that not finding oil, mechanical problems, weather problems, vendor problems can all affect timelines and success or failure. I am in this for the long haul and after weighing potential risks and rewards I choose to invest in oil with Dan Sauer of VPI.

When I decided to invest into an oil and gas project, I looked for a company that was relatively low risk. I didn't want to go with the “wild catting” companies that my research told me do not always do what they say and things don’t often times go as planned. I wanted the tax credit that investing in domestic oil would give me, but I also wanted a consistent ROI. VPI gave me both so I couldn’t be more pleased. Well done guys.

Back in August of 2023, I was asked to bid on this project, and I was given the work. I have been in the Mud Business for 48 years and counting. In all my work on projects like this, all over the world I have seen many operations learn as the projects progress. VPI (NAO) has done just that. We worked as a TEAM making decisions together and learning about the area as we progressed. There were times when we were hampered by the weather. Moving in heavy equipment on the 101 Ranch the clay, making up of the top 5-7 feet kept us from maintaining the pace we wanted. All in all, I am pleased with this project's over all progress. I am also pleased to work with highly experienced personnel, from the Project Manager Mark Chapman, Mendenhall Drilling and VPI(NAO) office personnel. All I had to do is talk to any of these people for advice or tracking down information.

You will read about this Ponzi scheme in the WSJ and FT in 2 years. They can't prove they have any land lease agreements, they can't prove they have drilling runs. They offer no guarantees on future payments. Basically, you are just funding some random dude's scammy lifestyle so he can vacation in Puerto Vallarta. Play it safe and invest in an index fund. VPI is like pissing away your money.
