I never written any review but this time I am sharing my horrible experience with Vertex talent team. I got a call from Ishwant Riar from the Canada talent team. She constantly texted me rather than emailing me without having proper knowledge that it's roaming from the USA , so I was not able to text her back. I had to put an extra top up in Tmobile on next day to Canada and after my initiative I was finally able to call her, otherwise the call would not even have taken place. It's not over here. She asked me about my salary expectation. I repeatedly asked her what the salary range for the role was , and I was ok with whatever salary range it would be. I was quite surprised as a talent specialist she didn't even know what the salary range was . She insisted that I put any number , so I told a number, because there was an option to put that number. She was very optimistic to have a Technical discussion with Hiring Manager in the next day or so. I didn't receive any call after 4 days, so out of curiosity I called her. She told me I was not selected just because I mentioned a higher salary, the salary should be less, though my profile was very impressive. I again convinced her I would be more than happy to take that salary, for me the job and the role was more important rather than salary. The next day I received an email they are not moving forward with me for practically no reason, not even giving me an opportunity to a Technical discussion with Hiring Manager and team. I got rejected just because Ishwant's miscommunication, incompetency and lack of knowledge which is very unlikely from a company like Vertexinc. Total 7-8 hours completely wasted for me for nothing. Be very careful when you will talk to the stupid talent team.

My son is a software engineer there, and everyone who works there loves the way that they are treated. They practice corporate giving for good causes, both locally and nationally. They make their employees available on volunteer days throughout the year to help at local community gardens and other causes if the employee desires partisipate, with pay. They participate in job fairs at local schools, and give alot back to the community in many other ways. My son enjoys working there.

Stay away from Taxamo, a Vertex subsidiary. They start with LinkedIN, chase you via email address guessing and even continue by trying to reach out to you by phone by calling on a general phone number of your employer. Everything just to try to sell you some tax advisory services you never showed any interest for. Super disrespectful, stalking-like sales approach.
