We were greeted immediately and warmly and seated within a few minutes. Venues is an inviting restaurant with a casual vibe and comfortable setting. Our server Jenae took out order promptly. We did have to wait an unusually long time for our chicken picatta, but it was worth the wait. Taco salad and onion rings were also quite good. Besides the wait for our food, I would venture out to Venues again. Maybe a burger next.
I absolutely love everything about this place and Carefree, the food is amazing, the place is very nice, the atmosphere was outstanding, the prices are cheap, the flavors are delicious and most of all the customer service was phenomenal, what else can you ask for, take your time to visit this place is a win win situation, mark my words.
Disappointed, again! Venues had become one of our “go to” restaurants, however we are now questioning returning During a recent Tuesday evening we were sitting at the bar. It was apparent the lone bartender was completely overwhelmed by the number of patrons. Usually there are two bartenders on staff during the evening hours. Unfortunately, yet another bartender has left Venues. It appears they have a difficult time retaining quality bartenders. Another bartender was in the restaurant, however was assigned to wait tables for the evening It took the lone bartender 15 minutes to come and get our food order (along with 2 other couples), another 10 minutes for him to have time to enter the order and another 45 minutes before the food arrived. We don’t fault the bartender, as it was all he could do to keep on top of drink orders for the bar and entire restaurant Sadly, the manager (and owner) didn’t look to shift staff to help the bartender through the rush. In fact, one of the other servers spent most of her time at the bar folding napkins. The manager/owner also didn’t come by to apologize for how late food was being delivered We understand how difficult it is to find/retain quality employees these days. Sadly, the owner/manager of Venues don’t seem to value their customers
I don't know if they except people to dine at their restaurant when their men's bathroom has a busted lock. You can be doing your business when someboopenspen the door. Get this... The way they fix this problem is by adding a 3 feet wooden divider surrounding the toilet lol. I order a chicken quesadilla... There is hardly anything in the quesadilla. I can barely call it "chicken" since there is hardly anything in there hahaha. Aesthetic wise this place is beautiful but it take more than good interior decorating to make a good restaurant lol
Very good food choices.... variety of small plates like tacos, sliders, also shrimp and calamari. It was lovely to sit outside in the Arizona sunshine to enjoy our meal. Great service too.
We got takeout desserts, which were quick. The expert baker in our family said the Triple berry pie was superb with both an excellent crust and filling. The churros filled with apples were great. The chocolate decadence cake was also dark chocolate delight. Outstanding desserts!! We then went back for lunch and everything was excellent. Great burgers turkey burgers and salads.
Update 12/23 While I have been a patron here for years, that has ended. Really the primary reason for visiting the place was because of the bar manager, who they cut loose lately. She has a huge following, and the operation at Venues since her departure has really gone downhill. But even more, I was recently charged 20% tax on my drinks. The legal amount of tax is 9.3%. I asked both the bartender and the owner, and they assured me the amount charged (20%) was tax. The owner even went so far as to be derisive of other establishments that don't charge this. By chance I was wearing a personal digital recorder, and I have the entire episode recorded. No question of error or misunderstanding. So no - I won't be going there anymore. end update Maybe not what you might expect for a place located in Sundial on Easy Street. I expect a tourist spot, and this is a locals favorite. They know you here. Mix between a sports bar and a nice dinner restaurant. Terrific service. Good Happy Hour. Really cool huge stone wall. And essentially two bars where you can have a small group facing each other, or the long bar with less intimacy. Good food, casual. Parking in Sundial can be rough. And very important - from outside this place always looks like it is closed - they need to work on that. So don't be fooled, give the door a try.
We had a very good lunch here today on the outdoor patio at Venues. Everything was a little slow, but I think all restaurants are suffering from lack of staff, so I don't let it bother me. Our meals were very tasty and their prices are fair, including for a glass of good wine. Our server was friendly and efficient, and he apologized for the longer than normal time to be served. I'm probably the only person who cares about this, but I like that their music was very unobtrusive. (I hate loud music when I want a peaceful meal.) I can recommend this restaurant. We will be going back soon.
We had the best experience the service was professional and personal. The cocktails were simply divine. The food was like no other Italian restaurant in North Phoenix that Iâve ever been to. I will be bringing back my fellow companions.
My wife and I were very pleased with this place! It was perfect to enjoy our anniversary. Firstly the service was supreme! Gladis was super helpful explaining and answering all our questions, she made a couple of suggestions that we went with. She ma
