Once upon a time this park used to be nice to go to with young kids but here lately there’s just a bunch of unsupervised middle school aged kids using excessive foul language and inappropriate behavior. I wouldn’t bring your kids unless it’s during regular school hours if you want to have a good experience.
After having a seemingly short semi-vacation in the Absolutely Gorgeous mountains of NC's Blue Ridge Parkway, Venter's Park was not dampened by this needed stop regardless of the time of night while driving back to our home in rural Richlands, NC. The facilities were moderately clean. The staff were nice, but fairly busy which permitted time to use their facilities and get back on the road again. It's more than probable my wife and I could possibly stop here again at a later date. I would like to thank Google Map's staff for providing their professional services which has provided a Window that enables travelers to experience our travels vicariously!
My fifteen month old and I love this park!! There is a covered area with picnic tables so you can take a break and have a snack or put your things down while you play. There is also bucket swings and a fun jungle gym with slides on top of There is a free library With a large grassy area for the children to run around and just have fun. It's within walking distance to piggly wiggly where you can go have lunch for under seven dollars a person in the deli It's also a family friendly sit down restaurant.
Our favorite park!!! It's completely fenced in smaller and has a sitting area , as well as benches and a little library! It's right next to the police station and fire station.
Great park for a sunny day part of it is hidden under some nice shade. The only reason im not giving 5stars is the need of a clean water fountain. I'm not sure who is in charge of that hand washing station but I tried it and found some disgusting yellow clumps coming out of it.
Small park, but usually lots of shade. I've never gone and it not been clean. Wish it had a bathroom, but they do have a portable bathroom which is definitely better than nothing. The pavilion is large so there's plenty of space to sit in the shade. The large climbing structure they had is no longer there and that was my kids favorite part so that stinks.
Very clean and enjoyable park, well kept. It can get a little crowded from time to time. There are frequent birthday party's and when that happens there isn't much room for anyone else.
Nice little play area and splash pad. It could use a few larger shaded areas for seating though; especially for us older grandparents.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating to my father, who needed a wheelchair. The staffâs knowledge of Onslow County history is impressive and the museum is a must-do if youâre from the area or visiting.
