I used this lovely trail to access window peak. Window peak offers sweeping views of the front range and a unique perspective of cathedral rock. The trail was in fine condition the entire way. The window itself offered a striking image of Kimball senior and Kimball junior, but somehow I felt that the window was about more than that. Perhaps the window is really an opening to a wild heart that lies dormant within us all. Perhaps it is a method of attaining, if only for a second, a glimpse of a universal soul.
A beautiful trail with incredible views of majestic saguaro cactus. I did not get to hike much of the trail. I started too late in the afternoon. As an avid hiker, I would return to Tucson just to hike the Ventana Canyon trail in its entirety.
Contracted workers were completing trail improvements, so it was in great condition all the way to The Window! The first 2-3 miles was fairly easy, but gets more difficult as you climb.
Beautiful trail up Ventana Canyon in the Santa Catalina Mts. on the northeast side of Tucson. Trailhead is next to the Lowes Resort employee parking. Trail is pretty gentle for the first two miles then starts to climb.
This is a wonderful hike in Southern Arizona. It has breath-taking views, wildlife, natural waterfalls, and impressive rock formations. BUT BE WARNED: the hike all the way to the window is not for the faint of heart. It is a very difficult uphill battle for the last 1.5 miles. If you make it to the waterfall on the left-hand side of the trail (about 4 miles in) and you feel tired or sore, turn back! If you are going to the window, start hiking around 6AM. It will get hot quickly. Bring more water than you think! Took about 7 hours with breaks to get to the window and back.
Hiked to Maiden Pools. It was a bit rockier and more uphill in places than I remembered from 15 years ago. Beautiful wild flowers, and the creek had a healthy flow. I had a nice picnic along the creek. Also didn't remember the 8 or 9 creek crossings!
If you find Sabino Canyon too crowded, this would be the place to hike. There's plenty of parking but there are no facilities of any kind. Be sure to bring your own water. There's no bathroom.
One of my favorite hike. Roughly 5 miles to go to the pools. That is a steep hike but that is worth it. I made discover my friend Lizzy this place. Gorgeous views from Tucson. I cleaned the route. Some people put some wrong signs. We got in the wrong direction. The path is really obvious now. This hike does not require to climb anything. Bring plenty of water and happy hiking.

Get there an hour before sunset for golden hour. The light is magical and the parking lot was empty. Accessible paved path. Excellent cactus specimens (healthy, good variety) with informative signage.
A very nice but steep rocky trail. Beautiful views of the mountains, plants, saguaros and the city. This is way nicer than the Sabino Canyon, but harder. I highly recommend this trail, but make sure to wear comfy shoes.
Beautiful, quiet, relaxing and long. Bring plenty water, sunblock, hat and good walking shoes. Not an ankle breaker trail but best to be prepared with good shows. No dogs allowed. Plenty of wild life inside!
Excellent little trailhead that connects to a ton of different, beautiful, enjoyable trails. Be a good steward and make sure you take care of the trail, as it is the National Park.
Whatever kind of "-vore" you are, you will not be disappointed...these are some of the best pastries I've ever had! I was fortunate to stumble upon this place while visiting from out of town. I had a lovely chat with one of the owners who talked me

Had a wonderful time with friends! The staff were friendly and helpful with instruction and staying engaged with our group. Facility was clean and organized. Having the option of throwing axes or throwing stars was neat! Will definitely come back.
The customer service matches the coffee here which is excellent! Their bakery items are made fresh and have many options for gluten free and vegan. House made syrups for their drinks add their signature touch. Ren is a staple to St. Phillips Plaza an
I really like this climbing gym. It's very close to lots of other things I go to, like Costco and home Depot. I like their emphasis on bouldering and the auto belays so that any climbing I do can be solo. I like the flexibility of the hours they allo
