The beach itself is the same as Hermosa or Redondo, if you walk around a bit, it's different... Long and wide sandy beach, big waves and playing in the sand. No swimming, surfing and wave jumping... Very interesting for children. All around there are bars, fast food and restaurants. Next to the beach itself, the entire length of the coast is great for skating and rollerblading. There is a large parking lot right next to the beach.
Had a good walk and saw so many stores. A lot of different kinds of people here and all were friendly. Places to eat and places to sit around the beach. Seaguls are huge there compared to where we live in Ohio. We walked the Venice pier and walked in the water.
unique place, fantastic walk along the beach where you can savor the true spirit of California
Very nice beach🏝️ lots of parking spaces
My personal preference to go here, apart from taking my visitors to the north Venice Beach tourist attractions.
Down here, south of the Venice Boardwalk, parking is easier, the bike path is much less crowded, less of anybody and everybody and more of the locals, just for the beach, pier and restaurants!
From the Venice Beach Boardwalk, south of the tennis courts, the paved path extension of the walkway connects and combines in places with the bike path thru the residential Venice Beach, continuing down to Washington Blvd. The people along the beachfront path here are more orderly and less haphazard, than at the Boardwalk area beach paths, especially with the bike trail there.
Bike rider’s and ‘boarders continue along, often going thru the marina (Marina Del Rey).
Down this way, the atmosphere is less commercial and more subdued, with the beach and ocean here good for relaxation and meditation with the views, sunbathing, swimming, skimming, surfing and bodyboarding.
The restrooms on average are cleaner and outdoor showers better and are available just to the south of the Venice Pier.
Good restaurants with outdoor and now indoor dining line the street at Washington Blvd. There’s convenience grocery stores if needed also on Washington.
A Venice canal view and walk is also possible from the second block of Washington, at the north side.
The Venice Pier is under renovation, tho will be bigger and better than ever before!
Parking is up to $18. on weekends at the foot of Washington Blvd. The alternative is with metered spaces along Washington Blvd for up to two hours.
There also may be available street parking spaces along Pacific Av near Washington, tho because the surrounding area is vertical residential (limited space built upwards), parking’s at a premium right by the beach.
My apprehension driving into a crowded scenario to park, meld in with all of the people (accepting of all behavior) and getting stuck in traffic jams on the way out, is considerably less here!
While I do recommend the more northern beaches of Venice and Santa Monica to see for the associated attractions (Santa Monica Pier, Venice Boardwalk, Skateboard Park and Rec Center) and what they have to offer, the south end of Venice Beach here is not so much a ‘must see’ tourist hot spot, just a cool place to hang out…or hang ten on the ‘board!
Not from here, so wanted to check out the other beaches besides Santa Monica, I ain’t going to lie this was very soothing and it was a vibe. Very chill. Very different from Santa Monica. They say it’s overhyped and I wanna know why because it’s a very nice beach 🏖️.
This place is like a very well kept secret. It's very calm and not to busy. Perfect to watch and enjoy the ocean. There were many locals. Kind people, clean

I was amazed by the authentic Japanese cuisine at UKA, and being Japanese myself, I believe this restaurant truly captures the essence of our culinary heritage. The chefs' attention to detail brought out flavors that transcended mere appearance, leav

I can't speak more highly of this amazing establishment. My friends and I came hungry and were treated to some of the most authentic and delicious plant-based / cruelty-free dishes. I ordered a little assortment and each one became my favorite!

Valentina and Helen are absolutely wonderful trainers. They always go out of their way to help everybody out: always giving adjustments to improve posture and performance. I always book a session when one of them is there. They also play great music.
My time at this gym has been nothing short of exceptional! I recently hit my 1 year anniversary and am proud to be a member of CrossFit Echo Park. At first I was hesitant about joining CrossFit in general due to thinking it was just a bunch of rugged
