The atmosphere was good. I tried the Slow Cooked Brisket Taco. It was amazingly flavorful. The Chips & Queso were different, but not bad. The Margarita was delicious too! The service wasn't the absolute best or welcoming when I mentioned it was my first visit, but he did his job, and I received my food very quickly. It gives Bourgeois fast food vibes. I'd definitely go back for a Taco and a Margarita, however... their Large is more like a regular. For the price, we are paying for quality and not quantity.
This was my 1st time trying velvet taco and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Tacos were very flavorful! I also love that they have vegetarian options!!!! Staff was pleasant, prices are decent and food was fast, will certainly be back!
We only had a few free evenings in Dallas. We went to Deep Ellum for bbq but a large part of the neighborhood was out of power. We lucked into finding the Velvet Taco on our walk back to our hotel looking for a restaurant with power. It was trendy, cool art to check out. Pretty steady with customers. Lots of regulars by the looks of things. There was a nice open air section of seating but we chose to stay in the air conditioning. I would eat here again!
Solid 4 stars. Tacos were delicious as usual. Atmosphere was good for business group gathering. Service was quick and courteous too.
Looked out on google for a different place to have lunch... and found this place with good google reviews on their creative tacos mixes from food around the world. The food was good, although some combinations tasted weird on a taco, not bad... just weird. The corn appetizer was superb... brisket taco was really good, chili shrimp taco was ok but too much vinegar "somewhere", pulled pork looked better on paper... maybe it was missing melted cheese and without bbq sauce... don't know... Overall it was an interesting experience... with many flavors left to try...
I’ve ate at this velvet taco twice. The first time the worker took 5 mins to acknowledge I was there trying to order and then my tacos were cold and thrown together. I thought it was just an off day for them. However, I’m starting to think that’s just how they operate. Last night I placed an order through favor with them, I received my order like 13 minutes after placing it. When I got my order my chicken tender kids meal was hard when I banged it against the table the tater didn’t even smash. The brisket nachos I ordered where old, cold, stale, had a nasty sour burnt taste to them, and it was only queso on 3 chips. Favor wouldn’t give me my money back so I called the store to see if I could bring all the food back to get it properly made and all the manager could say was he didn’t know how that could happen and he can’t do anything to help me. Then he preceded to try to tell me my driver had my food for 25 minutes cause she picked it up at 11:30 when I didn’t place it until 11:44 and it was dropped off at 11:57 and I was given discounts for order through favor when I absolutely didn’t, I had to pay and extra $2 or each order. I spent $20 for two items before the tip was applied. Honestly, this is the worst velvet taco location I’ve been to and I won’t be going back. Hopefully the next person has a better experience.
I recently dined at Velvet Taco on Elm Street in Dallas, Texas, and it was a delightful experience. My favorite taco was the Angus Brisket Taco, which was an absolute flavor bomb. The tender brisket combined with the unique toppings made for a mouthwatering treat. Moreover, the service was exceptional. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, which made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Especially Daivion! This is his favorite and he recommended it, which turned out to be my absolute favorite! The ambiance was cozy and inviting, adding to the overall positive impression. If you're in Dallas and craving top-notch tacos with great service, Velvet Taco on Elm Street is definitely worth a visit. The Angus Brisket Taco alone is reason enough to make a stop!
Tacos were delicious!!!! I must go back!!! Mexi-Cali shrimp taco was the best!!!!! I also had the sweat chile shrimp and chimichurri steak taco, both were great but the Mexi Cali one was the best!!
Oh my goodness, if you are craving tacos, this is THE go to place! Youâre welcome in advance. Got the al pastor tacos and everything was so fresh. Although the price was a bit high, it was well worth every penny. Do yourself a favor and give Taco G

Wonderful way to have fun with the family, we did the mansion one and it is extremely interactive. My mom loved it, Harry was the greatest! It was fairly accesable, headbands were comfortable and stayed on, and alot of fun. ð If you want team-buil
I am so SO glad Jazzercise classes were on my Christmas list (and that they were gifted to me early). I was a bit nervous at first, but soon realized that the classes are FUN and there is absolutely no judgement. I feel stronger each time I leave! K
