Greta place for camping and hiking. I've been coming here for a very long time and I really enjoy it, it's just a great place to go to get out whether it's for a day trip or for a few days. I would definitely recommend coming up here, the wildlife up here is also just as beautiful as I've seen deer elk moose Etc :)
This was a very unique trip and I’m so glad I went. I’ll make this review simple with pros and cons. Pros: Very unique, there’s not really a sense of direction so you can go climb anywhere (at your own risk), very cheap / free depending on if you’re camping or just hiking / camping; they had restrooms that were easily found, and lastly the views and overall area was just so nice and well kept. Great place for those who want to throw an event, camp, or even just climb! Cons: Figuring out where to go or park was very confusing, the place is very popular so camping spots are kind of hard to get, the one section is all dirt road and not meant for sedans or low to the ground cars, there wasn’t really any markers or trails so getting lost is quite common, lastly it genuinely is dangerous so please be careful when climbing (I myself fell but I’m okay) Overall: 3.95/5.00, would recommend!
This place never gets old. Every time I come up, I feel like it's the first. I just love rocks.
Absolutely unreal how beautiful this place is! Was definitely a huge reason for visiting and then living in Laramie for a while. The combination of the rocks, the colors, the sky, grass, and all the trails are what makes it so special all year round.
We stayed here for about a week I think. Totally free but there is a campground you can stay at as well for a small fee. They have bathrooms but no showers that I know of. We saw a mother and baby moose rooming the right in front of our site which was site 3 on the left of the main road.
This is a climber’s paradise. I didn’t have enough time to do an actual hike or climb, but I did get a chance to get a decent look around and it was so beautiful. It’s definitely a spot that is well taken care of, but popular. Absolutely stop here whether you’re driving by or want to stay for a few days. The sites themselves are beautiful.
This nationally renowned climbing destination has excellent dispersed camping. The sites are widely spaced and private. There is a fire pit at each site, but no electrical or water hookups. There’s at least one pit toilet in the area. Most of the sites have amazing views of the granite hoodoos and outcroppings. Road condition is generally good.
I've been going here for years and it's absolutely my favorite place on Earth. Once in awhile you'll come across wildlife and the trails are gorgeous. Fun place to hike, picnic, rock climb, anything! Love this place so much!!
Kids had a blast climbing up the boulders. They have NO EXPERIENCE climbing before this. Made multiple visits on our trip different areas each time. It's probably even a better place to climb if u know what you're doing. You can reach higher places
I didn't even know that this existed until searching on Google maps for cool historical places and was really surprised that there was a pyramid in Wyoming.. Decided check it out and was glad I did, it's a lot bigger than I expected, with some great
