My family went there for lunch and everything was delicious! The service was great and very fast. They have a lunch special most days and plenty of delicious options every day. It's definitely worth the short drive!

This place is always a favorite! The mixed gumbo is my go to with boudin balls as an appetizer. Delicious

I've been wanting to come here for several years, I finally made it! I had told my wife about wanting to try Vautrot's awhile back. She grew up in this area and she didn't know where it was at! We had to drive into Beaumont to pick up some things and thought it would be a good time to do lunch and take in Vautrot's. We arrived right at opening time and we were promptly seated. The inside had a very nice ambience to it with tables and booths. Our waitress was right on the spot and took our drink and appetizer orders. For appetizers we ordered the Fried Pickles and Alligator Bites. For our lunch order we both ordered the Emerick's Sampler platters. The Emerick's Sampler comes with a cup of Seafood Gumbo and a cup of Crawfish Ettouffee, also two fried Catfish filets, fried shrimp, fried Oysters, and fried Crawfish tails. You get a salad with your choice of dressing and one other side, and I picked the Onion Rings. My wife had Hush Puppies for her side. Our waitress brought bottles of Ranch dressing for the fried pickles for her salad, a bottle of Tarter Sauce, and a bottle of Cocktail Sauce. The fried pickles were really good and fried to perfection as was the Alligator Bites. The Gumbo was really great with a dark rich Roux and was thick like good Gumbo should be! The Ettouffee was just as good as the Gumbo, the taste was great as well!!! The Catfish, Shrimp, and Oysters were all fried to perfection as well, not over cooked at all! Our waitress was very attentive and checked on us frequently. Everyone was very friendly and outgoing. We'll be going back so you can bet on that! I think next time I'm just going for that really Great Gumbo! They do have Seafood and Chicken and Sausage Gumbo if you were wondering. I highly recommend giving them a try if you're anywhere in the area. If you don't get anything else, get Gumbo!!! Update from June 21, 2023 We went into Beaumont today to run some errands and we decided we would do lunch at Vautrot's. We know the seafood and Gumbo at Vautrot's is delicious no matter what you order!! So today we decided to try the Chicken fried Steaks based on reviews we've read about those! When we arrived we were promptly greeted and seated as usual here. Our waitress came and took our drink orders and she was very friendly and outgoing! When she got back with our drinks we ordered a couple of appetizers to start. I ordered some of their Bottle Caps, or fried Jalapeno slices as they had had trouble getting them during our last couple of visits after the Covid fiasco. We also ordered some of the fried Alligator for our 7 year old. Both were very good as suspected!!! We then ordered our Chicken fried Steaks, I ordered the large portion with mashed potatoes and a side salad. My wife ordered the small portion with mashed potatoes and a salad. Our 7 year old had to have his cheeseburger and fries! We always love coming here as the decorations and the ambience inside makes you feel very comfortable to be here and the people are always friendly and helpful. I will say that the reviews were read on the chicken fried steaks were right on point!!! It is probably the best chicken fried steak in the area! They were both cooked to perfection and batter covered the meat perfectly. Some places you go the meat shrinks in the cooking batter so you get a bunch of fried batter and very little steak. That is not the case at Vautrot's!!! This was a very good chicken fried steak and I'm glad we came to try it! We were not disappointed!!!😊

We had a fantastic meal at Vautrpt's! The seafood was fresh and delicious. Chloe, our server was friendly and super efficient! I highly recommend the fried shrimp, onion rings, and stuffed crab. Don't forget to try a dessert. They are awesome!

A diamond in the rough! The food was amazing. Fried shrimp was the best, and my husband felt as though the chicken fried chicken was the best around. The host was super friendly. The waiter was more than accommodating. We got our food 20 min to closing and never felt rushed to leave. Overall, great, and we will be back!

Outstanding local Cajun cuisine restaurant. Everything from salad to dessert was excellently prepared and served. Shrimp perfectly fried, chicken fried steak was great, sides were incredible. I will go back here every chance I get!
