Valvoline Instant Oil Change - Oil change service in Bergenfield - 20 New Bridge Rd, USA

The service/staff was friendly enough, but what really gets my goat is the fact that once they have you in there, they tried to charge me $40 for a $13 air filter. I understand that it’s a business and people are in business to make money, but I felt, as if they were trying to take advantage. Not to mention $50 for a BASIC oil change. If these prices go any higher, I’ll be reverting to doing oil changes myself.

Parking lot is smallish, but it is not how I judge car maintenance shop. They are very thorough, detail oriented. They communicate and tell what wrong and right with the car, check liquids and filters. They suggest services, in my opinion, only ones that truly needed. Prices are reasonable. Make sure that you check coupons and the website site. They always have something.

The parking lot is too small. I had to back up and move my car 3 separate times. Rather annoying to have to do this much adjusting as the customer. The staff is friendly. ETA: I had to move my car yet again. That's four times. Then I had to line up with the bay farthest from my car. I can't wait to never come back to this location.

For a place that will constantly try to upsell you or add services to your oil change, I am surprised by the fact that the employees wouldn't change a headlight for me this morning, despite my insistence. I noticed it was out last night, so I came to get an oil change earlier than needed and asked them to replace the bulb. After looking at the headlights, they swore up and down that the light was on. I asked them to check multiple times because I KNEW it was out, yet they continued to tell me the lights were fine and did not need to be changed. I attached a picture of my lights 5 minutes later, with one CLEARLY out. Now I've spent time and money on an oil change I didn't need yet, and I have to spend MORE time and money to go somewhere else to get the bulb replaced. I am incredibly frustrated right now and will NOT be returning to this location for my oil changes in the future.

First time took my truck there for oil change. careless people about customer vehicle ( after they remove the engine shield protector underneath to remove old oil and replace the oil filter they never put back the shield the original way was bolt in.) End up hit the road when I was driving and make loud noise and the shield engine protector get damage. I end up spending money to replace it.. not every one made for that Job. First time and last time go there

Always good service at New Bridge Road Elvis and crew are on the ball I hy been a long time customer they. Always send me a message when I need a oil change give them all a raise 😊🇺🇸💁‍♂️

I have never tried a Valvoline in all these years until today. Great first impression at the Bergenfield location during my oil change. The two technicians that assisted me in the right most bay in Bergenfield were kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. Will likely return in the future. Thanks, Team!

It was fine. They didn’t tell me they were charging me for extra oil. Never had that before. It was an extra $15. Probably won’t go back.
