Back in the 1960s, my father worked in these parts. This was one of the places I remembered staying at. They have not changed much, unlike the others. That is important to a child's life as they grow that memories stay. Remember the horses in the field and the way it felt to be in a lovely story book themes place. You know how you read books and watch movies that describe and show what staying at seaside places. The feeling was all the same..Its a shame that the many other places are not as they were. Such as the many Battery Forts in the area. Which use to wield big guns some were moveable some of the Forts had parks as well it's all changed which makes a sad story of some happy childhood memories. I understand times changes but most was for the act of thinking bettering places but to stay the same is so much better for making happy souls.

We stayed here a few months back in the summer and had a wonderful time. Quiet, clean, affordable, vintage, with goats, chickens, cats, and a nice view of the nature preserve on the bay. Emphasis on affordable, we paid under $300 for four nights. Location is meh, off the side of a highway but you don't hear it much in the cottage, and be aware while there is plenty to see and do it can be a 10-20+ minute car ride away each time. We watched plenty of Scarecrow Video horror rentals on the little VHS/DVD player CRT TV. It was the perfect setting. One of their kitties visited us and kept us company in our cottage while we were packing up to leave. There is a (mostly) abandoned historic cemetery nearby that is so peaceful, and so many equally historic and gorgeous state parks. I have no idea when, but we will most certainly be back, this place was a real treat and a cheap hidden gem on the Peninsula. EDIT: I also wanted to say the power went out for several hours because a tree hit the line right nearby, and the owners were very attentive to the situation and let us know what was going on. Good honest hardworking folks own and run this place. Stop by and give them some support.

Fun little place to stay. I've lived on the peninsula my whole life (Blyn) and came back for a visit. They were absolutely more than happy to accommodate our dog (Rottweiler) and just all around very friendly. If you come, make it a point to meet Fred, the kitty who runs the place.

Very basic but very clean it is on a farm, no WiFi but you can use your phone good connection all utensils are provided it was a very enjoyable stay sort of unplugged but great value for the money I would highly recommend do not expect much because you will disappoint your self no over charging for pets as a matter of fact very pet friendly

Just the isolation and cozy atmosphere we needed to rest and relax. The manager and his wife are very hardworking and friendly. They care for goats, chickens, a dog and a cat. We made great memories and would love to return if that day comes! Early fall is very nice and early spring the wildlife can be seen returning home from their winter wandering. Thank you for such a great experience.

Highly recommend. Very cute little place. Quiet. Outside doesn't look like much, but inside is amazing. Perfect little getaway. And the gentleman running it, is so very nice. We called in a whim, in the evening, and he had one little cabin left. My daughter wants to move there. Lol. She's 6. Very clean. With everything you need. Full kitchen. With a lot more room than you would expect. And very affordable. Our new favorite place to stay.

An awesome value considering the very low prices for a rustic yet clean and well kept location, with a beautiful view and very spacious cabins/ grounds for one person or a couple. The reasonably stocked kitchen is a joy; being able to pick up local food products and come back to enjoy a beautifully cooked meal with all of the basic kitchen tools. The staff is friendly, courteous, respectful of privacy and very accommodating of any guest needs. The grounds of the farm, including the local dog visit and the soft bay of the goats in the field, add to the simplistic natural charm. We stayed here for our anniversary, wanting to be out of the main Port Townsend area but close enough to enjoy everything that Port Townsend, Discovery Bay and the surrounding areas have to offer.

Pros: - out of the way; quiet; farm animals (goats, chickens, dogs and cats); sheets were clean (I inspected) and comfortable.|Cons: - scary looking; property run down/dirty; proprietors William and Marie somewhat standoffish; despite sign inside Cabin #5 stating cabin is visited each day for trash removal and other types of housekeeping, didn't happen as I was there for 5 days and not once was the trash can removed/emptied. If you like dancing in the shower, this is the place for you. One minute scolding hot water from the shower, the next, ice cold - lots of in/out of the stream and playing with the controls. No TV or internet wasn't an issue, it was nice to unplug. Watched a few of the VHS tapes, but DVD player didn't work and when brought to their attention, "Oh" was all that was said. Had to clean/wash the Mr. Coffee pot before use, as well as any dishes or silverware. Coffee was never replenished - that right there is a deal breaker. If family hadn't been staying in another cabin and I told them to bring coffee... Ceiling fan in bedroom clickety-clacked all night until I was able to MacGyver it with a piece of chewing gum. No shampoo/conditioner provided, bring your own, as well as a hairdryer. We're talking less than a fishing cabin here with no amenities. Two of the 6 cabins are stuffed with junk, giving the impression that hoarders live there...or it's where the bodies are hidden.
