Valley Overlook has the cutest cabins to stay in if you're visiting the area! I highly recommend them as they are very clean, comfortable, and practical, providing everything you need for your stay. They have the perfect amount of pots/pans and kitchen supplies and it was all very easy to find. I stayed in the 4-person deluxe cabin for my wedding weekend and used it as a bridal suite to get ready with my bridesmaids. The staff there were all super helpful and willing to accommodate my needs and my vendors' needs. The owners even stopped by to congratulate me. The space was perfect for getting ready, even with a large bridal party and many vendors coming in and out.
We loved our stay at Valley Overlook! We stayed in the impeccably clean four person deluxe cabin for our long overdue couple’s get away. It was quiet, clean, and had wonderful amenities. The kitchen was well equipped and the porch swing was perfectly relaxing. A perfect location to enjoy the tranquility of CVNP. Hosts were very kind. We experienced some severe weather during our stay and they were quick to communicate a safe shelter location. A top notch experience!
My girlfriend and I spent amazing 2 nights. The accommodations are exceptional, the grounds are very well kept and the facilities are spotless. Location is perfect for us because the Towpath trail in the Cuyahoga National Park is a quick half mile away. Will definitely be booking here as often as we can. Morning coffee on the patio by the fire is a life saver too. Thank you Terry!
This is one of those places you’re loathe to review because you want to keep it all to yourself. Everything was terrific from start to finish. The son went out of his way to help me with a last-minute reservation and his father greeted us and gave us the lay of the land when we arrived. The very short walk from the car to the campsite was quite simple for us and I felt even my elderly father could have handled it with his walker with some focus. Our campsite was level with small pea gravel for the tent, a nice picnic table and a fire ring with grill rest. Very clean and tidy. The ground was well suited for staking our tent and there was very little debris to clear. Very easy setup. Our tent overlooked a ravine, and though we could see campers off at their own site some distance away, it felt like we were backpacking in the middle of the forest. Critters were sniffing around at night and I could hear coyotes howling in the distance and an owl hooting nearby, though my son regrettably slept through it all. The bathroom was simple and private. Though we didn’t have occasion to use the shower, I would’ve felt totally comfortable doing so. For those of us who love the lost art of tent camping in nature, this is a welcome oasis. We hope to return soon.
Went on a long weekend camping trip with family. Terry and Janet were awesome with accommodating our big group and making us feel at home! The campground was homey, quiet, and in nature. The loft cabin was super clean and big. The pond was great for catch and release fishing with the kids. We were close to all the hikes we wanted to do in the national Park. The cabin and tent site were perfect for our large group. The kids loved it too! Would definitely come back and will definitely recommend to anyone going to that area!
My sister and my nephew came from South Korea to visit me, so I wanted them to experience something different. Valley Overlook was the perfect. My nephew thought it’s like the forest where his favorite, Winnie the Pooh, lives. It was a little bit rainy, but a precious moment to be there. The bed was perfect and the hosts were really lovely. After our visit, my nephew kept saying he wants to go back to that forest 🤣 I think this one of the best experiences to do with kids.👍
Stayed here while biking the Ohio to Erie Trail. They were so nice, accommodating, and helpful. We called late to see if we could get a cabin after an exhausting day of biking. They went above and beyond to get us a cabin. It was clean, quiet, and beautiful! A definite must stay if you are in the area!
I stayed in one of the furnished tents. It was perfect for a simple camping trip without all the fuss of bringing a tent and gear. The site was clean and quiet. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The location is perfectly situated close to area attractions. I would definitely return.
Ledges trail is one of the most unique trails in Cuyahoga. The caves are beautiful and Iâd give you an eerie feeling when you hike through it. My kids loved climbing through the rock. It is not at all a boring trail. Very kid friendly. We loved the
Only took a short walk from the parking lot to the bridge at the marsh. Wish I had more time to walk further. There were plenty of other walkers, runners, and bikers on the trail. Very popular spot. I talked with a local man who mentioned that th
This is a good place to start your kayak trip on the Cuyahoga River. I started at lock 29 and ended at Red Lock. I dropped my bike off here, drove my kayak to lock 29, kayaked back to Red Lock, rode my bike back to Lock 29, then drove back to Red Loc
Beautiful rustic trails! Hike either the lake trails, or the ledge trails! Giant boulders to climb around and on, with unique foliage, and roots! Breathtaking either in the summer or fall!
Went on a hike today. Just over 2 miles of gorgeous trails! Wear good shoes. Highly recommend taking a walk here. Not for the elderly as there are many hills and lots of rocks/roots sticking out of the ground.
I have been going to Swensons for 40 years. Recently, the quality and quantity has been declining. My brother recommended Dillyâs as an alternative. I couldnât have been more impressed with the service, price and most importantly, the taste!
