Wonderful experience great local wine in white and red, live music and gorgeous scenery of the vineyard. Family with kids are welcome.
Wine was so good, we got to sample a few before picking, and bread was SOO yummy. We joked we’d come back for the bread alone one day. Beautiful area to sit outside while you drink your wine.
Josh was fantastic , the house is amazing and unique - but the wine is the star! We had the Antebellum and the 1807 Blend. Both were terrific! We are visiting the area from out of town, and only want to plan a time in the fall to return!
Beautiful scenery!!! Loved walking through the grape vines! Great countryside on the way to this Vinyard also. Wines are great! The staff is very very accommodating and works hard to meet the needs of customers. Really nice clientele. Personally, I could leave out the live music, I would rather hear the birds and the occasional cow (there is a neighboring farm with beautiful cattle!). The historic house has several interesting original rooms— great antiques downstairs— the 80s furnishings upstairs don’t work, but they are comfortable. There are designated areas that are 21 years of age and above. Please leave the babies and children at home! Can we have some adult time here??? Okay, this place is really large and there is plenty of room for everyone! We were able to find quiet corners in the house and outside for some privacy. Food was also good! Enjoy!
Fairly small in scale compared to its bigger nearby brothers and sisters this winery has all types (both white and red!). 😜. Also some bubbly ones. The house is interesting but seems like we could have learned a bit more on the history. It was a very cold day. Left with one bottle of white ($29). Grounds seemed nice but was too cold to explore. Staff was super friendly, maybe the best part of the place.
What an excellent places to just stop and unwind. Josh was an excellent host. He was very knowledgeable not only about the history of the house but of the wines they had for tasting. What a neat place, grab a glass of wine and walk around the house and grounds! If you love historical homes and wine this is a must place to stop. The added "ghost" makes it even more interesting as thus place was featured on ghost hunters!
Great winery in Stephens City. Wine is good but not produced on site. Views are beautiful and the 200 year old house is just incredible. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Food was limited but good. Overall, a great place to spend an afternoon.
What an awesome winery!! Amanda was very friendly and knowledgeable!! We sat on the patio, which has a heater, because it was a little cool outside! We tasted whites and reds, and the tastes were amazing!! Great atmosphere and history on the property!!
