Valencia Heritage Park - Park in Santa Clarita - 24155 Newhall Ranch Rd, USA

Dreary, rainy winter of '23 and the photos/videos reflect it. Ok, this one. I can't say why with specificity but I'm simply unimpressed. I think, maybe, I'm becoming jaded by the volume of Parks in the SCV. There's nothing glaringly wrong with Heritage. Here's the good. Easy access to the San Francisquito Trail Paseo. It also has three well maintained tennis courts. Bathrooms are clean. There are two large fields for running around. Pavilion and numerous benches throughout the park. Charcoal grills. So, it's not a bad park. It is however right along Newhall Ranch Road, one of the busiest roads in Santa Clarita. Onr entrance and parking lot is off Newhall. Another is at the intersection of Fairview and McBean Pkwy, another very busy road. You can see some scenery but it's not the most picturesque park in the inventory. I gave it 4 stars mostly for the paseo access and tennis courts. It's really a 3+ star park so I rounded up.

What a fantastic place to hit balls! Very clean; crisp court lines, good paint job clearly marking courts and appreciated each court fenced from the other. I didn’t have a chance to check out the restrooms but will definitely do that when I return, hopefully soon.

Really cool park! Walking paseos go through the park connecting to the surrounding neighborhoods, ½ dozen concrete tables under roof cover (would be great for a party tables are all left to eachother next to playgrounds & bathrooms) 2 play area/jungle gyms w/ slides different activities, a few swings the coolest being a baby bucket switch with an attached regular swing so parents and can swing with their minis facing eachother roughly 2-4 fields for sports or to have a picnic, couple tennis courts & 1 bathroom building of course w/ separate male & female area with several stalls in each. People do walk dogs through here somewhat regularly in the evenings from what I've seen.

Great park, but it's showing it's age. Recent updates to basketball court and new drinking fountain were much needed. Great space to relax in the summer under the large trees.

The site for the 5K / 10K finish the ride/finish the run Halloween race today. They also had different bike distances up to 100k. The flush toilets were unexpected and really a nice surprise. Parking filled up quickly but there was ample parking at 5 to 10 minute walk away

Stopped by here after eating lunch. It was A nice walk on the trail and beautiful pictures of the snow capped mountains
