It is a good playground with separate area for big and small kids.
It is actually a beautiful, colorful and big play area surrounded by lots of trees.
Ample parking is there .
Restroom is available.
Rock climbing, big slides, swings , musical toys , lots of picnic tables and so on .
It smells thanks to the sewage treatment plant 200 feet from the soccer fields. The soccer fields are top notch with nice turf and clean bathrooms. Parking is really really hard to find when games are going on.
Val vista park is my favorite place in Pleasanton for family photos. Especially in the summer! You’ve got access to a playground for the kids after you finish you photoshoot!
We needed to kill some time, this park isn't amazing but if you have some little kids they could probably entertain themselves for 30 - 45min . Bathroom is pretty clean, there are some picnic tables and BBQs, not sure if they are first come first serve or if they need a reservation. No playground area for bigger kids but there's plenty of grass where they could play ball games.
This park just went through a major remodel with an entire new playground. There are plenty of places to climb and run around. It is really nice there is a seperate play area for little kids.

Holy spiral slide! Val Vista Park has everything you could ever need in a park and more!
This park has three play areas, two seasonal splash pads, a community garden, well-maintained sidewalks, soccer fields, group picnic sites, a skate park, an inline hockey rink, a labyrinth, and plenty of open grass.
The largest and most involved playground has the HUGE spiral slide, a triple slide, and a tube spiral slide (with a plexiglass window so it doesn’t look pitch black at the beginning. There are steps, ladders (including some styles I never seen before 😱), bridges, a climbing wall, a balance beam, monkey bars, spinning circle bars, a gymnastics bar, a climbing rope web, and when your kid gets tired of the endless playground opportunities there are large cement cylinders around the outer rim. Close by is a much smaller play area with two slides (tube and straight), a ladder, and stairs. There is a small swing set with bucket only swings. Near this play area is one of the seasonal splash pads, toddler-size picnic tables, and a really neat replica mountain range that creates a great way to incorporate the water from the splash pad into a river through the hills passing down a waterfall and ending in a pond. All of this took some imagination since the water wasn’t actually on. We will have to go back when there isn’t a drought and it isn’t “fall”. Close by these two play areas is a climbing wall, bathroom, and group picnic site.
A ways away is the third playground with three slides (spiral, double, bumpy), steps, ladders, bridges, and activities. There is a swing set with standard and bucket swings plus a ride-on rocking toy. Near this playground, you'll find the second splash pad, more group picnic tables, and bathrooms.
Don’t miss the large soccer balls and the mosaic bench. Keep an eye out for birdhouses, squirrels, lizards, and birds (we saw a huge white egret).
There is a huge parking lot from the main entrance on Johnson Dr or street parking in the neighborhood behind the park on Payne Rd.
After renewal of children play area it looks amazing.
What I noticed is that the slope for small kids is very high and difficult to use by many young 1,2,3 years old kids.
Also, I was expecting some physical exercise simple least expensive equipment for adults in this area. So that adults can do their workout instead of wandering. Such equipments are placed in public park in Hong Kong, India, Singapore ...
Good little park in Val vista.
There is a big dog park next to playground.
The park was updated in August 2023
Beautiful park to walk around or let kids play on the toys spread out. It looked like kids were having a blast on that ages 5-12 slide.
It seemed as though there were work out stations sprinkled throughout the path around the park as well.

Cool little place to hang out after exploring downtown with friends. Itâs pretty small but the location is great to walk around, especially when it gets warm out.
Totally recommend visiting this gem in Milpitas. One of the ancient 1800s Adobe house structure still in Bay Area. This tour takes takes one through the Alviso history and ancient style house details. Quiet and serene location, must visit.
This is an amazing park that everyone should visit for a multitude of reasons. Plenty of shade, 3 different playgrounds, large 2.5 mile walking path and many sports fields.

Nice community park. 3 play structures, one is dinosaur shaped, 2 or 3 picnic tables near them, tennis courts, plenty of shade and grass, clean restrooms. Street parking

It is a must place to visit in Pleasanton CA. It offers, art classes, music concerts and more. Harrington Gallery is inside the building with fantastic art shows on display.
While browsing Main St, my son wanted to walk around and see this place. While we were still just browsing, seemed to have quite a selection of many things including cheeses and chocolates. Prices seemed to be fairly decent...might be worth checking
We came to try the kakigori and it did not disappoint!! It was sooooo good. We tried the mango with chunks of fresh mango in it and the matcha, which had mochi and red beans at the bottom - both were so delicious. We also got a taro latte and matcha
