Pros - Incredible, unparalleled views - Massive resort, something for everyone - Lift lines weren't too bad even for Christmas week - Good signage and the epic app is more or less helpful - Staff is helpful and will check on you if you appear to be in trouble - Good food on and off the mountain - Free parking is available if you're willing to put in the time and energy Cons - Has pockets of concentrated population causing a need to plan carefully to avoid lines - Catwalks! A nightmare for beginners, they are super narrow and you have tons of people and a much higher chance of accidentally wiping someone out - People going incredibly fast in slow zones and no one to keep them in check
Vail is huge, has awesome slopes, and stunning scenery. Coming from the east coast, it was absolutely jaw dropping when we first made it to the top. Definitely agree with everyone else that it's one of the most scenic resorts in Colorado.
We came to Beaver Creek but in early December they are getting ready for the birds of prey competition. So we wound up going over to Vail and enjoying it extremely much! The green runs were absolutely lovely and well-groomed and everyone there was very helpful! The lodges at the top of the mountain have great food with a spectacular view! We will be back!
Vail Ski Resort truly stands out for its world-class skiing, exceptional amenities, and charming village atmosphere. The resort's commitment to providing a high-quality experience is evident in every aspect, from the well-maintained slopes and efficient lift system to the variety of dining and lodging options. Whether you're a solo adventurer, a family, or a group of friends, Vail offers an unforgettable ski experience that combines the thrill of winter sports with the warmth of mountain hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a top-tier ski destination.
Vail is literally such a dreamy resort. I can't even accurately describe how beautiful it is. There is SOOOOOO much mountain to explore here, I feel like I barely even grazed the surface. Their greens and blues are more challenging, so if you're brand new to the sport I'd highly recommend a lesson. I'd also suggest really studying the map before you head up, there's sooooo many trail options. I absolutely loved my time on the mountain here! The town is also super fun. Feels like you step into a different country!
Vail is a beautiful little town, so many places to eat, shop, and just relax. The mountain it’s self is beautiful they offer so many different trails. Me and my friend went snowboarding in vail and we are still talking about it. It can get kinda confusing up on the mountain you will go up one lift come down expecting to be in the same place then end up at another lift on the opposite side of the mountain. I recommend getting a map before going up the mountain and figuring out your path. It’s not that important because everything is within walking distance if you end up at the other side of the resort.
Very cozy town. Good infrastructure: a lot restaurants, shops and stores. Slopes are amazing: beautiful nature and variety of interesting routes.
A magical place, completely set away and different from everyday life, filled with friendly people, interesting shops, and good places to eat and enjoy live music. Lionshead and Vail villages are an easy stroll apart, no transport needed, but there is a free, frequent bus service if you want it. For the second year running, we went for the Ice Spectacular at Dobson Arena, starring a number of well-known US ice skaters. It was a fantastic, well-organised event which we hope to repeat next year.🫰As non-skiers we felt that three full days in Vail were just about enough, more would have been overkill. A bit of a trek to get there from the UK but definitely worth every mile.
Beautiful dog park. I stopped on my travels from the West Coast to the Midwest. Not far off the freeway and very friendly locals. Beautiful spot in the valley.
Luxurious housing in Vail, Colorado. The unit is quite large with high quality furniture and appliances. Car parking is valet and complimentary to guests. There is also complimentary shuttles between hotel and near by Vail or Lionshead Village - In a
I was in Vail for a work trip with several colleagues and on a day when a few of us went skiing, we all decided to meet here for lunch during the day. The location and atmosphere is amazing, with great views of the mountains. The food was really good
Staying in vail was not in our initial plan on our road trip to Colorado but we had one day extra and we decided to stay in vail. Iâm so glad we were there. This place was one of the best highlights of our 2 week trip. This property is gorgeous, th
Decided to try something simple and delicious, Blü Cow was just the right place. Their Swiss hot dogs are yummy, along with rejuvenating Uber Soup. Friendly service.
Great Italian restaurant in Vail. Highly recommend reservations, although one can arrive early and get to snag a seat at the bar (which often has people eating there). They have a nice wine selection, which because itâs Colorado, you can take your
From a wedding photographer's perspective, you really can't beat the Larkspur wedding experience! Stunning mountain views all around, an incredibly beautiful and intimate reception space, and can host one heck of a party! We recently photographed a w
We stayed in a townhouse. It was perfect. Small kitchen, plenty of bathrooms and comfy beds. It was less than 10 mins from the village/lift. It was very relaxing. We even called the front desk for a couple things and they were super quick to respond.
The perfect ending to my short getaway to Vail! I had the lamb for the main course and French Onion Soup as a starter. Everything was well seasoned and delicious! The service was also great!
