I am not an employee of VAE and I'm not posting under a pseudonym. I am a subcontractor that happens to work at one of VAE's satellite offices. I have had nothing but good experiences with the people that work there. Some of the other reviews posted about this company are from the point of view of a disgruntled employee that can't even use his real name. I won't call him out by his real name because I'm not petty enough to publicly shame him like he did to the manager that tried so hard to get him to do his job over the course of his year of employment. The contract that I work on is very self driven. There are deadlines to meet and milestones to achieve, but to achieve them you must be dedicated and hard-working. There is no whining, crying, or blaming on this team. The only metric that an engineer is measured by is performance. When you are assigned a task, you are expected to complete it. If you don't know how, you ask for help. VR, the previous one-star poster (not his real name) did not. We all have the ability to telework whenever we choose to. The only requirement is you get your tasks done and show progress. VR did not and he got the permission to work remote revoked. I started a task that he then got assigned and told him what he needed to do to complete it. The project sat for several months with the only change being the name in the document. That's when he got removed from the project that he claims his files (that I have him) were deleted. Bottom line, this contract is not for everyone. If you think that your job is to have your butt in a seat for 8 hours, move on. If you can't handle not punching a clock and not having someone breathing over your shoulder to get work done, move on. But if you can handle working your own schedule, not punching a timeclock day in and day out, and constantly learning new things and getting to teach others what you've learned, then this is the place for you. I'm taking the time to write this, and I'm not even a VAE employee. Although, neither was Victor Reyes.
One the most amazing places to work. Open environment, very friendly.
My brother from another mother took me to lunch at one of his favorite dining spots in the area. This Mikeâs location is inside an old brick fire station and it has a great vibe. All the folks working here were very nice and polite. It had an old s
This place is awesome. Great selection of Swiss chocolate that I have not ever seen anywhere else nearby. The cherry danish and double espresso were delicious.
