It’s pretty cool to get inside a WWII submarine alone. It’s even better to have a free audio tour that includes interview with former crew members. The only downside was that the webpage would reload after I switch back from using my camera. By the 3rd room I’ve lost signals. I listened to the rest of the audio tour afterward. Also there weren’t many tourist today. I ran into one family of 3 down there and 6 other on my way out so I took time to look at all the details.

Awesome opportunity to set foot into the WWII submarine and be transported back in time. This gem is kind of tucked away between Pier 39 and Fisherman’s Wharf. It is a self guided tour. Give yourself ample time to experience the life of our soldiers inside this submarine

A gem! Great walkthrough you can do by yourself along with a 30 minute long audio to learn about the submarine! Before entering they have a QR code to scan! Make sure not to exit out of the audio and not to pause too frequently because the internet doesn’t really work that well down there. I’m surprised I haven’t heard many people mention this as an activity to do. I loved every minute it!

It's such a cool attraction. To be able to walk on top and through an actual submarine in the water was a great experience. To be able to talk with a vet of the submarine to gain an added experience. Watch your head and knees, moving around and going through the doorways. Lol definitely would recommend taking the tour.

We stumbled across this gem while walking in and out of all things on the Fisherman’s Wharf. Great history and what a way to try to even slightly imagine what it was like for those great American heroes at that time. $25 donation to tor the sub. It is kind of freaky because it does still move with the waves.

Along with the Liberty Ship USS Jeremiah O'Brien (Pier 35), this submarine is one of the nautical treasures at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. It's a monument to the stout hearted WW2 sailors who ventured forth from Hawaii to bring the war to the Japanese following Pearl Harbor. Life wasn't easy aboard these cramped vessels. The Pampanito is located behind the Musee Meccanique on Pier 45. It's moved around over the years. OK for kids, but not for the disabled, due to cramped passageways and ladders.

A great way to really appreciate the sailors who manned our WWII submarines. Amazing look at the inner workings and living conditions. Definitely recommend going. Adult tix are $25, but we got the SF City Go pass and it was included, which was awesome.

I could never imagine living in that thing during war. Walking through the sub really puts things in perspective. I love my tiny room in NY. Much more comfy than living in this sub. Very cool museum!

This house is open from 12pm-3pm on Sunday. We have to park on the streets. The house tours are for every one hour that lasts an hour. This is the house that survived 1906 SF fires. Our tour guide,Mark, was awesome. He explained everything in detail.
