Urth Caffe - Coffee shop in Laguna Beach - 308 N Pacific Coast Hwy, USA

This is a great spot, but on weekends, there's always a line even after lunch. Just a heads up, for two people, it'll cost you around $70 with drinks. The portions are generous, and the dishes are delicious – not your typical homemade food, but rather intriguing combinations. The lox toast on airy dark bread is a standout. The chicken soup of the day is tasty. I wouldn't recommend the iced tea; it has a peculiar chamomile flavor with sugar, though it was supposed to be just green. Parking is always a challenge; my advice is to drive around and look for available spaces nearby.

This is a great cafe with a good choice of breakfast, lunch and many desert! Coffee is superb and we ordered wild mushroom pizza, paradise salad and Greek salad. All were excellent. Very busy place and a line to the curb during peak hours. Street parking and they have 2 order pick up spots behind the cafe. I highly recommend trying this place and sit on the patio or inside and enjoy!

Great place to get breakfast/brunch with an amazing overlook of the beach. The queues can be a turnoff but once you get through it, there’s an assortment of choices. Got the natural beef hash and spinach & feta omelette, both dishes were under seasoned especially the hash, the beef was quite bland. Omelette was good but could also use some more seasoning.

Food was yummy. ALL Staff is working as fast and efficiently. Be patient they are polite. It’s super busy so if you like an atmosphere with small tables outside then great. The salads look great! Smoothies in a glass even better. Gluten free bread was fresh and super tasty but it’s not super gf friendly. They let you know.

Very good brunch location! Make sure to get there before 10am to avoid the big crowd and be able to get yourself a nice patio table to enjoy the breeze. The food is delicious, a lot of diverse options. Their drinks are unique in presentation - definitely loved the mix of matcha with Earl Gray tea! Everything tasted amazing. Desserts seem to be quite big so I recommend sharing them! We had the Matcha Tiramisu which, even though delicious, it was not really a “tiramisu” in its pure sense - there didn’t seem to be any coffee in it. It is a layered cake with matcha. Good though!

The matcha latte is one of my favorites. It’s light and creamy without the “grassy” aftertaste. If you’re looking for a good coffee bean for an espresso machine, the baby gorilla whole coffee beans extract excellently in a Breville!

Urth Caffe is a classic and delivers great breakfast and lunch fare as well as delicious drinks. Their matchas are a standout and their matcha tiramisu is the best thing they make. These two dishes (pictured) are two of my other favorites, the salmon benedict is my go-to and the butternut squash pizza is a wonderful creation. It is in a beautiful spot but there are two big detractors to the location. First, as you could expect, parking is quite tricky if it’s a busy day. The second issue is that most of the seating is on their beautiful patio BUT IT’S OVERRUN BY PIGEONS. Over the course of a single lunch I saw four different people have pigeons land ON their food and have to have the food re-made. They are a big issue but there is not much anyone can do against them. They’re confident and will fly right onto your table to take your food.

This place is amazing for specialty drinks. I love the gluten free waffles. The wait times are usually pretty long ( with a line) I recommend ordering before if you don’t want to wait but it’s definitely worth the wait!
