Urban Plates - New American restaurant in Torrance - 21503 Hawthorne Blvd A, USA

Food- Food is consistently fresh and high quality ingredients. I ordered a cheeseburger meal, surf and turf plate, macaroni and cheese and more. One word - delicious!!! Service - Wow! Shawn was a superstar! The service here is always on point. But today it was exceptional. Shawn did an outstanding job taking care of our family. He was attentive, enthusiastic, and made great recommendations from the menu. Atmosphere - The place is very clean, lovely decor and they have outdoor seating. I will warn you, it can get chilly inside so bring a jacket. I took a picture of what’s left of my plate. Come check this place out!

The fries here are so good! Perfectly salted and with a nice crisp, there so good I forgot to eat my actual order of a sandwich! The sandwich was really fresh, I which there was more flavor but it was still good! I left very full, but not in a heavy way but a healthy nourished way! Service was good as well, shout out to Danny! Nice calm atmosphere

I got the grilled, grass fed steak with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts and loved all of it. I ordered the gravy on the side which was good for dipping. The restaurant is cute and well decorated with high ceilings and a good amount of seating. Service is pretty fast and friendly too.

This place is great. The food is amazing and clean, very fulfilling as well. The crew here is friendly, hardworking. One of the guys "Danny" was checking in on us making sure everything was great. Everyone here has a smile on. It's perfect for the family or friends (They serve beer). Definitely a good spot for lunch or dinner.

I come here often. The last few times have been good. Only one time was I disappointed in the food when I got it to go. It was a busy Friday night so that's probably why. The food seemed to be very heavily buttered/oiled. The staff has always been very helpful and kind. Thomas helped us last time. He was great and patient while I decided on the sides I wanted. The space is quiet but lively, good for dinner or grabbing food to go. The food has good flavors, and is a good price for the quality you get. 9/10 would recommend.

This is my our second time here and both times the service, food and atmosphere has been great! The first time I had the Nashville hot tender sandwich and it was a a perfect amount of spicy, the tenders were juicy and crispy on the outside…just how I like them! I got it was a side of Mac n cheese and fries. The Mac was amazing the best I ever had but the fries were a little too salty for my liking. The second time the cashier Danny was great I couldn’t decide between 2 plates and he too the time to tell me the differences between the two. I went with the beets and avocado for lunch and it was great!!! The combination of the beets, quinoa, avocado and cabbage was great, if you like the earthy fresh taste this is for you.

Organic food at a great price. Look how much food they give you! Everything tasted fresh and it feels good knowing all the ingredients are organic. They have a subscription service where you can get 20% off on their meals. A must try if you’re in the area.

This place is a hidden gem. Urban plates in Torrance had the greatest of food and Danny and Taylor were the most helpful and considerate staff during my night. 10/10 would recommend for a amazing weekend night outing.
