When you don't plan ahead, you may just find yourself calling around for a room for the night. That is what we were doing any many of the other hotels we called in Port Angeles were already booked. I called the Quality Inn but was told the didn't have any rooms, but their sister motel next door (Uptown Inn) had two rooms. It was honestly a bit more than we would have paid at other hotels that had updated rooms, but in a pinch it was fine. The staff was very very kind and nice and friendly. The room was clean, just outdated - pink sink, small, old tile shower, but again fairly clean. It was a great location and fine for a one night stop on a trip. They offer a breakfast next door at the Quality Inn. All in all, expensive but fine in a pinch! I give it 4 stars for what it is, a small clean place to stay for the night.

It’s a motel in Port Angeles so I already knew it wasn’t going to be the Ritz Carlton but I thought it was totally fine. Service was friendly. Breakfast was great. My room was reasonably modern too (minus the bathroom, which was definitely retro, but it was actually so retro that it comes off almost as an intentional design choice or novelty you’d find in a quirky contemporary home design. so in a weird way it isn’t retro even though it definitely is) The bathroom also has a heat lamp in it for some reason which was bizarre at first but ended up being the coolest and most useful thing I’ve ever seen in a bathroom. No A/C. To be clear, my stay was at the Uptown Inn which is allegedly the “crappier” of the two choices there — but like I said, I thought it was totally adequate and I’d gladly use it again.

Dirty. Hot. Fan broken. You can’t really leave the windows open because you’re facing the alley and it’s not safe to leave open in that area all night long. On the main floor. The drawers I didn’t even bother to open, but I asked for cleaning supplies so I could wipe down light switches, corners of things, tops of things, The couch is in a couch. It’s a cheap futon. That’s pretty lumpy just pretty lackluster subpar for $240 a night more of a motel one than a Motel 6. Plus, it’s managed by the place across the street. It’s just a little confusing. A bit of a racket cost wise

Stayed the night before and after the Victoria ferry which is a short walk. Clean, nice retro motel. Very nice complimentary breakfast and service was great. Not fancy but that's ok it is very reasonable to stay here. I'd stay again.

The staff was friendly, and the location was good. I don’t expect a lot of amenities from a two-star hotel, but I do expect a decent mattress. Unfortunately, the room disappointed. The mattresses were old, squeaky, and unsupportive. Could not get a good night’s sleep.

Manager was good to work with. Breakfast was okay. Room was very plain, but clean. The room is not air conditioned that is not, but there is a fan. Felt very expensive for what we got but maybe that was just the location.

Some great things about this place, some not so great. Location was awesome. We walked down to the pier, visitor center and the coffee box cafe one morning. Walked to Safeway for dessert our first night. Lake Crescent and the trailhead to Storm King was less than 30 minutes away. Rooms were okaaaaay. My husband said his pillow smelled funny, the sheets/comforter weren’t totally clean. But we were both so exhausted the two nights we spent there so we slept fine. The shower was surprisingly pleasant, being large and really simple. There was one lightbulb that gave off a LOT of heat in the bathroom which was a little uncomfortable. In the winter could be real cozy but for early summer not the best, in a bathroom with no fan and only a tiny window for circulation. Somebody with a terrible terrible cough was in the room next to us. And then somebody on the other side cried and wailed horribly in the morning. Breakfast is usually something I look forward to at motels on trips, but not this breakfast. It was nice it was included, but even my husband who will eat anything, didn’t enjoy it too much. There weee sausages, gravy, biscuits, some cereal and 2% milk, toast and jams, juices and coffee. The muffins were individually packaged and tasted alright. All in all we enjoyed our stay here but we’re grateful for other coffee options close by, and would consider coming back or trying another motel when we want to explore more of Olympic National Park.

I go to Port Angeles for work a couple times a year. In the winter, I bring my dog, so I need a dog friendly hotel. At the actual location, there seem to be several hotels so it's a little confusing about where to go. The pet friendly rooms are single story across the street, 2 rows with a parking lot inbetween. The room is rather small, but has been updated and is pretty nice. The fridge, microwave, TV cabinet is a unique design I haven't seen before. Nice size fridge. Comfy bed, temperature control. I read someone mention internet, and I think it's just spotty in the area. About the bathroom. Well, it's the Crest toothpaste green tile and fixtures. They're from the 50's. And the shower head was not so bad, but it made a lot of noise. Had to remove the tub drain or the water just filled up in the tub. I'd have to say the tile work is stellar and is in perfect condition. Only real issue was some gunk around the sink drain. Time to replace these relics. Some hotels are cutting back on soaps and shampoo, etc. Not this hotel. However, the entire room was very clean and no pet odors. The lobby is very nice, nice breakfast area and lots of variety for breakfast. I appreciated that it didn't end early, as a lot of hotels do. Definitely good price. Will return for sure. Gotta bring the pup.

We were there while our home was being repaired, for two months! The rooms were immaculate and well appointed; we had two queen beds, a desk, a large TV that we didn't use, along with the standard microwave and tiny refrigerator. It's amazing how one
