Uptown Inn & Suites, St Petersburg, FL - Motel in St. Petersburg - 1503 9th St N, USA

This was the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stayed at. It’s obvious that the rooms had been smoked in for years and the “renovations “ consisted of painting over everything in the room with white paint. Newsflash, paint doesn’t cover the smell of cigarettes. And when I say they painted everything, I mean everything. Bathroom tiles, tub, windows, outlets were all painted white. Pretty sure most people staying at the hotel actually live there. It was not an enjoyable stay. The window AC unit was so loud. Slapping a can of paint over nicotine covered walls and buying the cheapest of furniture they could find to make a room is what we got. We slept on top of the beds with our own pillows and blankets after we found a burned hole in one of the sheets. We will never stay there again and I don’t recon anyone else staying there either.

I called Uptown Inn & Suites as I had men traveling from North Carolina to St. Pete. The men would not arrive until late in the evening. Terese was extremely accommodating to our late arrival. They were able to put a lock box on the doors to the room, so that the men could easily get in to the room at whatever time the finally reached the hotel. Terese made my life easier with this special accommodation. Highly recommend Uptown Inn & Suites. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

I found this motel to be quite cute, and it was nice to meet Teresa and her dog, as well as the friendly and welcoming office staff. The location is both private and budget-friendly. At eight quiet time begins. Checking in with seamless, I definitely recommend this place. The air conditioning in my studio worked flawlessly and the room was impeccably clean. ❤️

Very nice front desk woman with her dog was very helpful and kind when checking in. Rooms are very old and in need of proper maintenance. Every surface was dirty and or rusted over. It looks like they just gob paint over every surface to cover it up. The tile in the bathroom was just painted over and looked horrible. The electrical outlets were all missing covers and loose in the wall. The bed was a joke with the stained bed sheets. I was traveling alone so I was able to deal with it because I didn't have a choice- If I was with my family, I would have NOPED out. Avoid unless you don't have any other option.

The rooms need to be updated. We didn't get much sleep due to other people constantly being loud above us. The WiFi never worked for us, we tried to contact someone in the office but no one was there. We tried to check out early and we couldn't locate anyone to check us out. Their vending machines were all out of order. Will not be back and do not recommend.

This place is a place to get some shut eye, and that's pretty much it. It does has a cute little pool area that was nice. Definitely not kid friendly, or I wouldn't recommend it if you have kids. Some questionable characters lurking around.

Great little place, friendly staff, I bring my 7yr old daughter here all the time and she loves it and the pool is always clean, I'll be staying here again

I had a great experience staying at this establishment for one night while attending an event in St. Pete. The customer service was outstanding, with the front desk staff being exceptionally helpful and welcoming. The room was clean, had a pleasant scent, and the beds were comfortable, making it an ideal choice for a short stay. Additionally, I accidentally left some items in my room, but they promptly contacted me and returned them. I will definitely choose to stay here again in the future.
