One of my favorite coffee shops in Portland! Finally got the chance to stop by Upper Left Roasters and I was so impressed with the layout of both the indoor and outdoor seating, with a large amount of capacity to hold a good amount of people. And best of all, the service was easy, nice and the barista made a delicious cappuccino! Highly recommend Upper Left Roasters.
It is a lovely spot for a coffee and perhaps a bite to eat. The cozy eclectic atmosphere is somewhat whimsical and really appealing. The staffs are friendly .Great outdoor seating. Overall a grate experience.
Spacious popular neighborhood roaster shop that is almost always filled up. Third wave coffee pour overs and espresso shots are decent options. Plenty of tea drinks from True Tea like Taiwan oolong teas are offered here too. Food available too.
I did post a 5 star review, but unfortunately the service, food and atmosphere has gone down hill. They sometimes leave the doors open when it's cold outside and most of the time leave it cold inside. I also ordered a breakfast sandwich with ham, but they put an extremely thin piece of shriveled ham that didn't cover half the sandwich. I asked nicely for more ham and she was rude and then only gave me a tiny piece of ham.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this coffee shop! Excellent coffee, kind service, beautiful experience. They always say hello, and remember my name. Life is good. Make it so! Tnx y’all!
Upper left is by far my favorite coffee roaster in PDX. Their latté had the right amount of creamy taste and consistency, and yet not tasting all milky. It's a very well lit space, they also have some wonderful outdoor seating. Overall a very good vibe!
A really great coffee shop, with great seasonal drinks, food and pastries. I don't live in Portland, but every time I'm here, I always swing by 🤙
Nice 3rd wave shop if you're looking for boutique espresso. Friendly staff and the place has some food items. Great outdoor seating for when the weather is nice! As a native Portlandler it definitely feels like you're in a Portlandia episode.

I really enjoyed this coffee shop. I got lucky with an open comfy, brown leather chair and a delicious oat cappuccino. I also ordered the breakfast sandwich and opted to add the jalapeno salmon spread. Highly recommend that spread, it was amazing!!
The bright, clean, quiet environment of Capitola Coffee is inviting and open. I had the pour over, and my friend had a salted caramel cappuccino. The coffee was great, although I think my pour over was brewed a bit high, but I realize it's nit-pickin

I love this spot. They have one of the best cappuccinos in Portland. The staff is always kind, and friendly. And the tunes are always on point. Pro tip: ask for sugar crunchies on your capp. You wonât regret it!
