Upper Cullen Resort & Campground - Resort hotel in Pequot Lakes - 28317 Upper Cullen Rd, USA

Our family started at Upper Cullen Resort and Campground back in the late 80's. We stayed there for about 10 years, only stopping because our kids were too busy with summer activities. We re-started the tradition in 2017 for our grandkids. The family-run resort is the same as it was 35 years ago, which is PERFECT. Upper Cullen Resort and Campground has a peaceful environment on a quiet lake. Kids can catch many fish off the docks and there are great spots on the lake as well. Kids can look forward to a duck pond, multiple play areas, basketball hoop, badminton, shuffleboard, minnow races, potato sack races, ice cream socials, scavenger hunts, tractor wagon rides, and a very nice beach. There are free kid-friendly games, books, and DVDs available in the lodge. The lodge also has food, merchandise, foosball, a pool table, and multiple old-school arcade games. If you want to get out, there are a ton of things to do in nearby Nisswa and Baxter. We have a "no TV" rule for the grandkids at Upper Cullen Resort. They're so busy doing wholesome "kid's stuff" they don't miss it! This is exactly what a resort should be!

Very well maintained family friendly resort. We have been vacationing there for 8 years and look forward to visiting again each year. Quiet atmosphere. Clean cabins. Triple filtered tap water. Spectacular sunsets over the lake. Matt and Patty make you feel like family.

Family friendly, quiet atmosphere. Knotty pine cabins, each has a fire ring and picnic table. Private swimming beach on a beautiful small lake. Boat dock and well maintained grounds. Patrons are like family and return annually!

We just spent the last few days at Upper Cullen Resort and it could not have been more perfect! Matt and Patty are wonderful people and are extremely welcoming. We plan to be back, that’s for sure! Such a relaxing environment!

10 reasons why you should come here #1 there are mini events everyday for the kids. My favorite is the mini root beer float. #2 Matt and Patty are so nice people that will actually help you out right away 👍👍👍 #3 They will do anything to keep their customers safe. I was stranded out in the lake and they saved me 🥰🥰 #4 The arcade. The arcade is such a fun place to hangout. 1942 is my favorite game to play. #5 the cabins. They are so nice and comfortable the couch is my favorite part. #6 the prices. ITS SOOO CHEAPPPPP it's crazy that I got 2 cans of pop for 2 dollars #7 fishing. This place overall has great fishing spots. The catch of the day wall is soo cool to look at. #8 Ducks. Feeding the ducks is a fun thing to do when you are walking around. They only cost a penny to feed them. #9 this location is perfect right next to town of niswa it's like a 10 minute drive. #10 my last reason... I made a deal with Matt that I would get a free shirt... yep they got merchandise here.

Wonderfully maintained quiet family friendly resort. The fishing has been good and lots of activities for the kiddos. You won't be disappointed!

Place is outstanding! Matt and Patty makes it feel like you are just at the cabin with family. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our week vacation. We will definitely be back!

We have been coming here the last 3 years and its always been great. The only issue we have is trying to reserve for the following year. There always seems to be an issue with how much you owe, money they need, and general reservations with rates. Maybe it's time to upgrade the scheduling system and actually go wireless. Other than that, the owners are friendly, helpful, and accommodating. It just seems the office could use a little improvement to keep better organized. The fishing is great, the lake is gorgeous, and everything was comfortable. It's quiet, great for kids, and a great place to relax. Just need an upgrade to figuring out the rates and exchange of monies.
