Upcountry Provisions Restaurant - Bistro in Travelers Rest - 6809 State Park Rd, USA

This place is a hidden gem. The food and atmosphere are incredible. We have tried the breakfast menu and lunch menu. Both have amazing options. Many vegetarian. The desserts are also super delicious. The grilled blue cheese is definitely a favorite! The staff is very friendly and kind and efficient. It's very nice to come and sit outside and feel the weather and be with the beautiful flowers, and trees. This is our favorite place in Travelers Rest. A must see if you live here, or are visiting while on vacation.

Got the Central St sandwich which was pretty good, but my wife got the adult breakfast with eggs over easy. They make the eggs in some kind of round form... for sandwiches presumably. Fine I guess but over easy shouldn't be crispy. They also shouldn't taste fishy. We sent the eggs back and asked for scrambled instead. They came out again in this weird round shape (WHY?!) which resulted in a tough weird texture. The warmed bacon potatoes might be good if they weren't drowned in ranch. Probably won't be back.

We live pretty close to Upcountry Provisions so we go there quite often. The food and the customer service is amazing and is what most people are looking for. The restaurant is a bit small as well as the parking lot but that is due to the location on the corner and is no fault of Upcountry. They most certainly make the best use of the space they are working with for sure. Again, excellent food but be prepared to pay for it (monetarily) as the prices for a sandwich shop is pretty high. The last time we were there, the three of us with three sandwiches, 2 cinnamon buns, and drinks ended up paying close to $70 for brunch. However, we keep going back because the food is so good and it's a cool atmosphere in downtown T.R.

Their food is fresh and filling comfort food from local farms, it's delicious! They also make their own bread and pastries, so scrumptious! The service was amazing and helpful, with a staff picked classic rock playlist that kept us dancing. The atmosphere is rustic and homey, but I can't wait to see the patio in full bloom!

Definitely a cute spot to dine at. They have a large menu that caters to just about anyones diet. Seating inside is an option, but I’d recommend sitting outside if seats are available. My son and I had a great time enjoying an early lunch and we look forward to going back. The cups are awfully small for tea and soda. Not sure if this is just because they are out of other sizes or this is it, but my son had to keep getting up. The parking can be tight, but street parking isn’t too far away. This is a great spot in downtown Travelers Rest, South Carolina. Go give them a try!

The food was decent. Very fresh. I had a chicken poblano soup that I found delicious. My family enjoyed their sandwiches. There were good gluten free options for my son, as well. My issue was more with service and the attitude of what appeared to be the manager. Very curt! Not at all a display of the southern hospitality we were expecting on our first visit to SC from NY! The staff was great but the manager would make me never go there again. She even had the audacity to scold my 3 year old autistic son when she heard him acting up. I know there is no way that she'd know he is autistic but the whole experience left a very bad taste in my mouth. Perhaps she needs a little vacation to reset? Maybe head on up to NY and be treated more kindly.

Upcountry Provisions is one of my favorite spots in TR for both breakfast and lunch. The sandwiches are excellent, especially those that come on their house baked focaccia. Make sure to save room for dessert, as well.
