A huge place to walk around and enjoy the beauty of nature while just being a rocks throw away from downtown Ann Arbor. Plenty of birds, squirrels, bees and bugs around to admire as you walk through, over and around the landscape. Watch the sunset or gain some knowledge at this incredible park.
Beautiful park and great place for hiking and exploring nature. Lots of trails for hiking and running, also good place for fishing as well. If you haven’t been there then you should go check it out.
Great place for families! Peak bloom runs from Memorial Day (late May) to mid-June. We came last year when it was almost August and all we got was mosquitoes, no flowers. This year we came on June 10th (a Saturday), spent half a day in Ann Arbor, and parked at a close-by garage (P4). Parking was free.
One of my absolute favorite places to walk and visit. I call it heaven on Earth. Every season is beautiful here. We’ve loved Shakespeare in the Arb over the years, the magnificent peony garden in June, and so many other activities over the years. The Heathdale is my personal favorite spot. It’s incredible to have woods, prairies, trails, the river amid the hustle and bustle of campus to feed the soul.
If you haven't been here...go! You won't regret it if you love mother nature and clean, pristine trails and fresh air. So many options in trails and paths and none of them would be a bad choice. Can't wait to come back!
Beautiful little oasis in Ann Arbor!
This is the perfect nature getaway without having to actually get away! Great for Ann Arbor residents, University of Michigan students, or visitors to town. We had a very pleasant walk through the gardens and loved our visit!
Amazing experience visiting the blooming peonies yesterday! Lots of different varieties are planted. They all smell amazing. Free event. Parking nearby at the structure, free. Highly recommend
Lovely arboretum by campus for students! Great on a fall day but slippery in the winter. Such nice views and diverse walking areas. Flat areas, stair portions, and just cool walking paths in general. You can see an overview of trees from a distance, the river, or just big open spaces. Good for family and friend picnics too. Lovely, would recommend.
