University Lodge - Motel in Frankfort - 711 E Main St, USA

I'm trying to be generous with a 3 star rating but the bottom line is I'd probably not stay here again. The pros are my room seemed mostly clean, the bathroom less so. The shower was questionable because it's so old I couldn't actually tell if it was clean and I had to have the host come and turn it on, but he did so willingly and pleasantly. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were terrible. The a/c, Wi-Fi, TV and fridge all worked fine. The cons were this motel is an old, a very old, Travelodge and it looks old and very tired. I was just stopping for the night on a road trip so it did the trick but I think this motel should be $10 or $20 cheaper. No coffee in the room or otherwise and it's on a loud and busy main thoroughfare.

If I could give this negative stars, I would. Disgusting room... dirty floors made our feet black. Dirty towels!! Bedding was gross under black light. Rough neighborhood. Did not sleep a wink in that place. So gross!! Don't stay here! Save your money!

This is a last resort type of establishment those who are desperate , down on their luck & have no other viable options . Its infested w/ roaches , the towels are stained , filthy & thread bare they close the ice machine & laundry facilities b4 the sun even sets , u have to hound them for toilet paper of wipe w/ the kleenex they leave in the room , no where to hang anything , no phone to call out on except your own if u have one , u get the feeling of being an inconvenience bc u have to go physically to the office for assistance they rarely answer the phone & will hound u if u hesitate to delay ur departure mo matter how much u spend they have no problem w/ telling u to leave if u find urself having to wait on funds to hit for renewal of the room . Shame on me for being at ghe mercy of places like this bc there is no mercy only money here

Place is so nasty. Has always been a eye sore. If u plan on keeping your clothes don't come here. Ate up with bed bugs

First of all, the lady in the office wasn't very nice. I wouldn't call her rude exactly, just not friendly or welcoming. The room had a "no smoking" sign on the door but absolutely reeked of smoke and there were cigarette burns and stains on EVERYTHING. Everything we took into that room will have to be washed because everything smells like smoke now.

Some rooms were infested with bugs, others were fine, but, a bit dated, the staff was good I felt they were kind and helpful. Pet friendly, I didn't care for the ice machine and laundry being closed from 9pm to 8am , some of those rooms had hot pink walls which seemed tacky. It beats days inn, but not the bluegrass, if they updated to better furniture, decorations, and beds, and repaint it, I'd give at least 4 stars, but my complaints only allow me to give them 2 the prices are good but expect to lay down a 100 for deposit.

You get what you pay for. It's ran down but not too bad. The owners were very nice. However our towels and rags were brown where they're old and dirty. The bed was comfy though.

We paid for a week since it was cheap. We were charged $10 extra a day for a cat that makes no noise and isnt destructive. The satellite signal sucked and wouldnt drown out the hammering from upstairs. We weren't made aware that the unit above was being redone. We wanted a smoking room and didnt have an ashtray. The only thing that was decent was the size of the bed
