Universal Palms Hotel & Conference Center - Featured Reviews (916)
I will not come back here unless I’m absolutely certain that I will not be able to find another room.
After viewing the pictures online of this hotel I decided to try it out. We were impressed with the lobby and pool area, as they were newly renovated. When we got to our room, it seemed up to date however the floor tile was not completely clean, I didn't feel comfortable with my shoes off. The bathroom area was nice. Bed's were not comfortable and there is a loud train that passes by that may wake you up at night.
Personally I would not return here, as the comfort and cleanliness needs improvement. But if you need a quick cost effective place to stay, it may be worth it.
The only good thing about it its the pool. The golf court was dirty and not taken care of. The staff in the morning was rude and with a very nasty attitude. The shampoo and soap was on these containers that were dirty and not even dispense the shampoo. The beds sounds like they are wrapped in plastic. So much noise when you move. I took my kid for he's birthday cause we love the extreme park that they have across the hotel.. But to be honest never again will I go there.
The front desk agent was exceptional. The rooms were average. I only found two problems:
1. There was water leaking along the walkway from the AC right by my door and housekeeping kept walking pass it. It was upsetting and I thought it was a danger to guests, it made the hotel look tacky and it told a lot the staff that didn't see it fit to clean it up.
2. I had issues with my toilet. It didn't flush properly. Housekeeping did promise to fix the problem but didn't. I was quite upset about that.
The hotel seems way better in pictures but it was in good proximity to places. Overall, the stay was average.
I booked the room without reading the reviews. Once I read them, I was scared to think what I might be in for. But, it was greeted by a friendly front desk staff and clean, decent room. I think people's expectations are sometimes not realistic. For the rate I paid at this hotel, it was great. Hot water (which I didn't have at the previous hotel), clean , no bugs, a/c was worked well. It's not the Hilton and people shouldn't expect it to be. Not sure why they say this is not in safe neighborhood. I didn't feel in any danger. I do however agree the train is loud, but if you get a room towards the inside of the hotel, you can't hear it as loudly. All in all, I would stay there again.
I'm a very honest person and this is my first review on anything. I stayed 6 nights here and let me start off with checking in with a temporary debit card is not recommended. it was horrible but the manager actually worked with us and after about an hour or so we got to the room. Besides that, our stay was pretty relaxing. The housekeepers accomodated us and were very nice and attentive. They wouldn't bug compared to other places. Room was nice and big and clean for sure. There is a train that passed once or twice a night but it didn't really bug us. If you are looking for a place to just relax by the pool with your family and just do your own thing without needing much from the hotel staff its a decent place to stay. I've been on vacation for two weeks and I've stayed at two other hotels which were comfort inn and days inn and with my taste I prefer universal palms just because it felt more at home for me and my family!
My daughter and I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Beautiful Greek statues. Terrific staff. The atmosphere was warm and delightful. Pool was a beautiful blue color. 2 cages with adorable birds. I rate this Hotel a 5 star. I would give it a 10 star if I could. Before I came here I was depressed and now I feel fantastic. I really enjoyed myself. Come and see for yourself. You will feel invigorated.
Thank you for a wonderful experience.
I will be back and would highly recommend this Hotel.
This place is horrible. The staff are some of the rudest people I have ever met in my life. The elevators smell like a gym bag full of moldy towels. The drainage from the air conditioning system drains onto the walkway in front of the doors and has been song so for so long algae has started growing causing it to be extremely slick. Never stay here once they get your money they treat you like cheap. You have been warned. And if you do happen to stay just be careful where you walk. I wish I had never stayed here.

a place that feels like home away from home. Fully furnished apartments near the intercoastal, only a 5-minute stroll from the beach and other popular Fort Lauderdale attractions. An intimate gathering in the center of Fort Lauderdale.
We just found the most perfect place to stay in the Fort Lauderdale area, Manhattan Towers Apartment Hotel. A hidden gem, a Shangri-La. The perfect location on the intercoastal and a couple of blocks from Fort Lauderdale beach. A beautiful well-maint

Absolutely one of our favorite spots in all of the Fort Lauderdale food scene. Great knowledge and selection of natural wines, next level food with a constant rotating menu. This was one of the best Caesar salads Iâve ever had in my life, the Cacio
After searching for restaurants offering Poke Bowls, we landed here by coincidence. That was however the best thing that could have happened to us because the bowls were absolutely delicious and soo fresh! The couple was super friendly and the man wa
