Great tour! Lots of information broken into easily read displays. I enjoyed the hands-on kids stuff. The binocular stand was extra fun. Alas, no photos allowed! (understandably)
Self guided tour. They don't allow photos inside. Unfortunately the machines weren't running on Monday July 3rd... but they have some nice exhibits along the way to explain what happens. Like a Disney ride, the tour ends in the gift shop.
Would not recommend this for a tour.
First, no place to work close by. Watch out for hidden "no parking" zones on the streets near the mint. They are not painted red or yellow and the signs can be at the end of the street or blocked by trees.
Visited back in September around 9:30 am. Not a single person on the work floor during the time that I walked through the upper gallery. Nothing really to see. Very disappointing.
Great museum, and its free! I really enjoyed seeing the coins being made, and the very informative self-guided tour. Don't miss the beautiful Louis Comfort Tiffany Mosaics as you enter in the lobby.
This place is great. Very informational. I loved seeing the money actually getting pressed.
My only complaint is photographs inside are prohibited. Its dumb, but a lot of federal laws are.
PS any photos you see of the inside are illegal. I'm supprised google allows them.
PPS they have qr codes in there. I would ask if it is okay to scan them before you do.
Pretty cool place to visit. Free self guided your. Down side is the stamping was on winter break but still cool and very informational.
This was a really fun, quick visit! The displays are very informative and easy to read. You really understand the coin making process. Machines are also labeled in the factory so as you’re looking down into it, you know what’s what. Also, there are interactive screens throughout that explain the machinery and show videos of how they work. There’s also fun little activities like virtually designing your own quarter, trying to figure out which coin is which through just touch, and looking at “waffled” coins with a magnifying glass to identify their mistakes. Even on the way out of the exhibit, there’s a wall with pictures of all the different quarters that have been designed over the years with little scavenger hunt prompts (“Find the 3 designs that reference music making”). I also loved the historical section which has original coins and machinery from 100+ years ago. Informative, interactive, well-laid out, and overall very cool!!! As a history teacher, I really appreciated this experience.

Joined on a student membership for the summer and really enjoyed my experience. All the trainers were highly knowledgeable (and incredibly athletic) and made sure everyone felt welcome in the gym. When I was dealing with a shoulder injury, they were
