Underground Mining Museum - Museum in Creede - 9 USFS Rd #503, USA

Easy to find. Plenty of parking. The audio tour was perfectly timed. The exhibits were designed very lifelike & helped in understanding the actions of the workers. There was a lot of information & history. It was definitely interesting & educational.

This was really cool and educational. I'm not a big museum person but this one was worth the stop.

Great audio tour for learning about traditional mining as it evolved over the decades from hand drilling to compressed air and water, from mules to mechanized muckrakes. Also interesting how the town built this underground tour facility along with their Community Center. Well-planned!

I didn't go in because I forgot my jacket, but we drove around to the back and it was pretty cool to see the structures.

Love the underground experience. Tour is set up with mining equipment through the ages to go through the history of mining technology. There is an audio tour or you can go on a guided tour, we did guided and had a lot of fun with it. The shop has local minerals for sale, pretty much the only shop that had anything local in creede. There is a gem and minerals show in the underground museum and it can be rented out for weddings and events. They also have weekly bingo

We visited the Underground Mining Museum in Creede, Colorado and learned so much. The girl at the ticket booth sets you up with a head set and an MP3 player that guides you through the entire Museum with tons of information. Lots to see. You won't be disappointed, but wear a jacket it's damp and Cold in there.

All though it is not an actual mine to tour, it was very interesting to see and learn.

Very good history lesson to be learned. This is great for kids and adults. A little chilly inside so take your coat. Very educational. Love this museum.
