This place never fails! Great fresh broth with amazing flavors! Tried every bowl there and I can’t pick what is my favorite because they are all amazing! Family owned and ran the service is always amazing! Definitely one of the best and a must try!
I just have to rave about Uncommon Ramen for a second. It makes me extremely disappointed to see low rated reviews for such an incredible family-owned establishment. Every time my husband and I order from here whether it’s take out or we dine in, it feels like we’re just eating a meal a family member made us (one who knows how to cook!) The owners are so kind, thoughtful, accommodating and patient. The freshly sliced rotisserie chicken & their broth in the Tori Paitan is addictive. I can’t get enough of it & would highly recommend anyone to give them a try or a second chance.
I’m in town for work and decided to explore Phoenixville with my free time while also searching for a good spot to enjoy a quiet lunch alone. This place was perfect on all fronts. It wasn’t crowded yet had an intimate seating arrangement which made me feel less anxious about being alone. I ordered the house-made pickles and kimchi as appetizers and as a huge pickle/fermented food lover these two items alone exceeded expectations. The kimchi was the perfect level of pungent with the exact amount of heat that doesn’t overpower the cabbage. The pickles were still fresh and cucumbery with a lovely sweet and sour taste and the sesame seeds added a satisfactory texture. So good I got another order of both to take with me. I ordered the Tori Paitan noodle bowl and the broth was the exact amount of flavorful, comforting, and balanced. Chicken was tender, eggs were perfectly boiled with a gooey yolk that made every bite a treat. The noodles weren’t over cooked and held the flavors together wonderfully. All of the veggies (scallions, mushrooms, etc.) added a pleasant fresh pop to the dish. Unfortunately I don’t remember the server’s name but I wish I did because she always came to the table at the right times and let me have time to relax in between courses. Her demeanor was relaxed and encouraging and really tied together the end of my solo trip out of town. I’ll be back in the area later this week and will definitely be returning to Uncommon Ramen.
The staff was so friendly and accommodating when I asked about shellfish and meat free options, making sure nothing was cross contaminated for allergy reasons and also to make sure it was vegetarian friendly. The food was amazing and I asked for spicy and it was truly spicy! I wish I took a pic of my appetizer too because they were kind enough to make a vegetarian option that apparently takes some time to prepare and isn’t always available. Also love that it was BYOB. Will be returning!
Undoubtedly one of the best in the area. Been here twice and they've wow'd us each time. This places offers a decent amount of vegan/ vegeterian options. The Vegetable Gyozas in chilli oil is to die for! The vegeterian spicy miso ramen is also a must try. Will definitely be back for more.
I often come here on dates with my boyfriend and it is our favorite go-to restaurant in Phoenixville for asian cuisine. The bao buns are our absolute favorite ! They’re soft, fresh, and super delicious (get them with the spicy Aioli sauce!). The ramen is also very good and filling. I say the bowls feed two hungry adults, especially if you ordered the bao buns, then you’ll have leftovers. Don’t be afraid to substitute meat for tofu if you’re vegetarian :))! They will if you ask ! Service depends on the time of day tbh but getting the food made me forget if i waited 10 minutes or 40 minutes :0.
Really delicious food. We had the spicy kimchi and gyoza as apps. Ramen pictured is the Ton Ton bowl...just the right about of heat, very tasty. Nice and different addition to Phoenixville’s restaurant scene. Owner Sara was friendly and helpful in explaining the dishes. Other reviewers are correct in that you may have to wait. We took advantage of Crowded Castle’s special (2 8 oz drafts for $5) across the street and Sara texted us when a table was available. If you have mobility issues...there are no steps into or inside the space, however once inside things are a bit tight and narrow. I don’t believe someone in a wheelchair would be able to reach the bathroom or it would be difficult. Someone who walks with assistance will probably be fine. Cost for 3 of us, with 2 apps and 3 ramen bowls, no drinks = $50 plus tip
Incredible flavors! I’m not sure how they managed to have so many fresh, delicious ingredients in one bowl while maintaining the distinct, tasty flavors of each one. Wow!
