Uncle Vinny's Pizzeria & Ristorante - Italian restaurant in Carolina Beach - 1012 Lake Park Blvd S, USA

Food was good, but kitchen was really slow the night we went. They seemed overwhelmed by take out orders when there were hardly any other customers dining in. Got a free order of garlic knots while waiting at least.

jack was a wonderful server. he made sure everything was okay and clean. he was also hilarious. i have pretty high standards for Italian food since i grew up with my grandparents running one. the mussels where fantastic and the tiramisu was incredible. i wasn’t a big fan of the shrimp pasta but like i said i have high standards. and honestly if i told jack i didn’t like it he probably would’ve got another one but i wanted the tiramisu 😝

*updated* We used to live here at Carolina Beach many years ago and for my birthday my daughter got us an AB&B directly below our old unit at the Sands l - how fun! We like off-season because the tourists are all gone and one can do the things one wants without dealing with the tourists. It is a Sunday evening and we wanted Italian food. We didn’t want to go off island to Monkey Junction or Wilmington. The only place open was Uncle Vinny’s. Even though it had a 4.0 rating we decided why not. We both ordered Italian sausage, pepper and onion subs. They came out, on freshly baked bruschetta bread and no marinara sauce. More like a sandwich and less like a traditional sub. Ok… this is different… we both took a bite of our subs and they were delicious! The best I ever had. My wife would’ve preferred some marinara, but she didn’t want to ask. We both agreed it was the best! Seasoned just right, perfect balance of sausage, peppers, onions, provolone cheese and toasted in-house bread. The sub was more than enough to make a second meal so we asked for takeout boxes. Instead of giving us boxes the owner took our leftovers, wrapped them in foil and put them in a bag for us. For the both of us it was $24 not including the tip! We weren’t eating on the cheap, we ordered what looked good to us on a Sunday night. Bonus our delicious dinner was priced very reasonably! Our dinner was a pleasant experience, definitely a 5 star experience all the way around! Next time we’re down to Carolina beach, Uncle Vinny’s will definitely be a “have too.” *update* We came back for cheese pizza, my wife had a side salad, I had a Peroni on draft, and we shared a cannoli to finish. Everything was awesome! My wife’s side salad was a spring mix with onions, grape tomatoes and Kalamata olives. I’ve never had a draft Peroni before, but it’s way more smooth than the bottled versions. A big 2nd 5 star experience!

We had a wonderful time and your staff is AMAZING! Janel, Lucian, Ashley & Larry were unbelievably hospitable and made our day so special!! As always, food was amazing!! Thank you a million times!

The food here is some of the highest quality, best tasting food that you’ll find in the Carolina Beach area. The food is similar in price to other local restaurants but the presentation, portions and taste are unbeatable. This small, but nice restaurant is a hidden jewel on Carolina Beach. Each time we have eaten here, we have received nothing but top-notch service. We try to stop by Uncle Vinny’s whenever we are in the area and we are never disappointed. If you like higher quality food (and service) at normal prices, then you’ll love this place. While some other local restaurants seem to skimp on things and offer you the cheapest possible food for the highest price that they can get away with charging, Uncle Vinny’s seems to really care about the quality of your experience. Definitely recommended!

Lucious Lucius I can’t remember how to spell it but this man was incredible IN ALL MY LIFE this was the VERY BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE WE HAVE EVER EVER RECEIVED . Not only was the food fantastic the service was just over the top . He Tok his time he helped with suggestions he brought our 2 year old crayons to play like the whole thing was an incredible experience it was one of those moments or highlight in life you will talk about for years ! SOMETHING SO SIMPLE as a conversation and pizza and being kind on a hot day . Thank you for making it so memorable !!!!

Ordered take out and was severely disappointed. The garlic knots were burnt and also cold, the salad was wilted like it sat under a warmer, the chicken Philly was garbage. The chicken was in large chunks and so were the peppers and onions. Not the right cut for a sandwich. The pizza was decent but it would have been nice if it was fresh. I was told the wait was an hour due to how busy they were but it seems like they lied to me. Do not recommend.

I gave this place 5 stars because the pizza was delicious and it came out relatively quickly! The staff was friendly and accommodating to my large family of 10. We moved ourselves outside after asking our server if she minded and she obliged. I took one star from service because we spoiled a drink and cleaned it up ourselvrs, as we should, but she never relaxed the glass to ensure everyone had a drink and never refilled the glasses, just set a pitcher on the table and kind of let us fend for ourselves. I don't know if she got behind or they were short staffed, but she did kind of disappear. The pies were about $20 each, so not cheap. The atmosphere was mostly great other than tables a bit wobbly and some dirty things here and there. The table had drawers which was neat, but there were interesting tid bits inside from previous guests. 🤔 Kinda gross. Maybe secure the drawers so they can't be opened? I mean, they could look after every guest, but that's genuinely not feasible.
