My first visit to Uncle Julio's was a journey of highs and lows. The service, especially from Sammy, was outstanding, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I ordered steak fajitas, soft tacos, tortilla soup, and a beer. The highlights were the homemade flour tortillas and the rich, flavorful tortilla soup, which stood out for their freshness and quality. However, the steak fajitas were under-seasoned and the Americanized soft tacos didn't quite meet my expectations for authentic Mexican cuisine.In summary, while Uncle Julio's excels in service and certain dishes, some of the main offerings like the fajitas and tacos could benefit from a touch more authenticity and flavor.

Nice place and staff. High prices just for the experience (they make guacamole in front of the table) and that it’s a made from scratch kitchen. It’s not a higher quality of food really than your average Mexican restaurant. Maybe less salt or different quality cooking oil. They have vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. Some of the rice dishes are made with butter and they cannot accommodate because they make rice in batches.

They have the music too loud in here to have a conversation without yelling at the person next to you. The service was not very good, unless we actively tried to get the servers attention they were no where to be found. When water was brought to the table, we received a pitcher but no glasses, basic things were lacking. The Baja fried tacos were awful, they were over cooked and had no flavor. The shrimp and crab enchiladas were good, they were what I was expecting the meal to taste like.

Got a swirl margarita New recipe with sangria and frozen lime margarita, tastes amazing! Chips and 2 different kinds of salsa. Couldn’t decide which is better, the grilled tomato salsa or the red salsa for chips Thanks Jesse for your wonderful service!

I visited Uncle Julio’s on a Saturday night recently with a group of friends. Upon being sat we were not given help, or had our drink orders taken for 35 minutes. Upon FINALLY receiving help from our server, he had an attitude with the entire group, and was not providing adequate service when talking to us. Perhaps the most significant thing that happened during our visit was another customer SLIPPING on their wet floor behind our table (which did not have a warning sign), the man went flying back and could’ve cracked his head or been severely injured. Luckily he wasn’t. The staff did not seem phased by this and didn’t offer the man any assistance or compensation. Furthermore, the waiter was very pushy with us adding gratuity, which I would’ve done regardless, however his attitude about it made me annoyed. The food was average in my opinion, but my friends enjoyed their food so I will give them that. All in all, I will not be returning here. I would recommend Guapos down the street instead.

This is a great place that can accommodate very large groups. Great food, awesome drinks, attentive servers. Tortillas are made o site. We didn't have to wait long for anything. They earned their stars from us and generous tip. Great ambience. We will make sure we stop by at our next visit.

We went here on Monday noon, the restaurant wasn’t busy, we had a excellent dining experience! The food was so delicious, and served super fast. Also we were impressed by our server, he patiently helped us with the menus, refilled everything quickly as needed. It’s a children friendly restaurant, they have kids menus and kids cups, booths and high chairs are available. I would recommend to anyone and definitely come back soon!

If you’re into crowded Mexican restaurants that serve decent food and are located near bodies of water, then I’d say that Uncle Julio’s is your best bet. As for me, while I wasn’t a huge fan of the crowded environment, in general, I liked the food and I didn’t mind speaking a bit of Spanish there, especially since my servers at the time were very sweet and patient. I would prefer it if the chocolate piñata came with coffee. That way, I would have something to wash down all of the sweetness of the piñata. Otherwise, I do appreciate that at Uncle Julio’s, the quality and to an extent, the health benefits of the food are taken into consideration. It’s definitely not a bad place to take your date to. Also, props on putting strawberries and pineapples into the piñata! It puts me at ease as someone who was once diagnosed with borderline prediabetes.
