I’m so happy with my takeout that I’m typing this while still chewing! The portions are VERY GENEROUS. I would have been satisfied with half of the great tasting food for the same price. The broccoli beef stir fry is delicious. Try the spicy mayo and wonton soup 👍

There’s a lot of typing and deleting for this review which made me realize what my experience was truly like. This restaurant is located in a very central area with a lot of restaurants and shops near by. Umami has been around for a while and it is uncertain for me to say if it is amazing or if it is slowly crumbling down. Therefore, I’ll just stick to my experience. The food (sushi and fried rice) were pretty amazing the day we went. There were many options on the menu that looked and sounded good. Upon arriving, we were greeted and seated immediately (evening,during the week). The place has a pretty cool look to it but it’s evident that it could use up keeping. The food was delicious and we found the rolls to be a really big, good portion! Tired of little sushi platters that leave you hungry in other places! The fried rice was hot and fresh and very tasty. We really enjoyed the food but the look and feel of the place may not be one for a date night. For us, it may be a spot to come by with a group of family, friends or co workers. (Lots of seating) I would like to go one more time to solidify my standing on the experience but if this can help anyone anyhow, here it is.

This place is great! Good service and good food. And you definitely have to try the fried icecream dessert.

The food was good. I got the sumo roll and I think it would be much better if the rolls weren’t cut so big. Definitely a mouthful!

I liked the place: a very cozy and quiet environment, good customer service, delicious food, and well-sized portions served. Overall, a great experience both times I’ve been in this location.

I do not like to post regular or bad reviews, but I can not give more than 3 stars . The rolls were average. At least the one I ordered. My Wife dis not liked the salmon which is something she usually likes. The service was not very good. The appetizers arrived with the food or one of them after the main dish. I always tip, usually 18% , but I did not liked that the tip of 15% was included in a bill. I just did not liked the imposition. Prices are reasonable. There are better japanese reataurants out there.

Food was on point! Service was even better. Started at the bar and the Batman was so friendly. Then we went to the table and the waitress was super sweet and made sure she took care of us. The food was delicious! I am sooooo full right now…. The picture shows what I didn’t eat…

A satisfyingly delightful Pan-Asian variety of well-prepared dishes that brought and still bring nostalgia to the senses.
