Long trails of nothing unfortunately. The trees are so overgrown you can't even see the river. The lookouts are shorter than the trees. Had no idea where the trail went nor did it serve a purpose as you can't see anything. Kind of like walking around Walmart except with sun
Wonderful place for a walk with nature. Fall/winter is not just most comfortable temperatures, but wildlife is very abundant.
Great place to see birds and other creatures. It has a mostly beautiful trail (people do leave their bottles and trash there sometimes) with lagoon canals that are peaceful to go down by cayack or small boat. You can sometimes seemanatees foraging, dolphins and plenty of fish skipping off the surface of the water. Come in the late afternoon for some amazing sunsets. Always something new to witness when passing through.
We hiked here recently. Well maintained. The grass had been cut. No trash or litter as others reported. Someone must have cleaned the place up. Observation platforms provided a view of the surrounding area. They were not built tall enough to get a really good look around. Limited parking and no restrooms but it was a nice walk. We saw a dolphin and several birds while there.
Great bird watching and easy trail. It would be really nice if there were some toilet facilities. But there's some gas stations and fast food a few miles south west of the entrance. Pack in your own water.
A great morning hike in January. Great birding towards the end of the trail. Because of the mangroves, you will hear more wildlife than you see.
Absolutely beautiful place to explore and get some fresh air. Last time I visited we saw dolphins in the water it was awesome!
Walking trail. Kyack launch and observation towers. Only went to the closest of 4... had limited view due to height of trees... will go back with better shoes to get to the other towers!!!
