Ulua Beach Park in Maui is a tropical paradise that offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and recreational opportunities. The crescent-shaped beach boasts soft, golden sand and crystal-clear waters, making it an ideal spot for swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing. The marine life here is remarkable; you can spot colorful fish and even sea turtles while snorkeling. The park is well-maintained with picnic areas and showers, making it family-friendly. The scenic backdrop of palm trees and lava rocks adds to the charm. Whether you're a water sports enthusiast or just seeking relaxation, Ulua Beach Park is a must-visit on your Maui itinerary.

Lovely beach! Nice sandy strip backed by a lush green walk on paved sidewalk. Gorgeous landscaped backdrop maintained by the resorts. Snorkeling was good as well, not the best I’ve ever experienced on the islands but still a lot of pretty fish to see. Close by bathroom and shower also add convenience. And the waves aren’t too big so this is a good spot for kids.

This was a great beach to snorkel, however the water was kind of cloudy. Thus meaning you couldn't see anything far away from you. When you're snorkeling, you can see fish, sea urchins, etc. In the other reviews, a lot of people said they saw turtles, however I did not. I saw one swimming, but not when I was snorkeling. In some of the other reviews, I read that this is a good beach for boogie boarding, but when I was there, the waves weren't very big so it wasn't great for that, but it was fun for swimming. The sand is super soft here and the water is a really pretty blue color. There is a restroom and rinsing area at the top of the stairs. It looked like any of the stairs you go up all lead to the bathroom and shower. Overall, this was a pretty nice beach, but (at least when I was there) wasn't great for snorkeling or boogie boarding.

Very nice beach for swimming, lounging and views of Maui. We heard sea turtles can be spotted here but did not see any when we visited. There are some trees for cover from the sun if you need.

beautiful Sandy Beach with lots of shaded areas. occasional turtles will swim by if you are patient. parking also seems adequate.

Nice but the water gets cold suddenly as soon as you swim a little away from the very shallow area. Lots of sea urchins on the reefs/rocks. Not much shade

Ulua beach is located in Wailea. It is one of the few beaches from the Maui’s west coast were you have a chance to find a parking place in the free parking area near the right side of the beach. I think that this beach is usually used by the tourists that live in the big condos complex nearby having their cars parked in front of the condos. The beach is long (300 meters) and large enough so it is not crowded. The right side is very good for snorkeling but when there are no waves. There is an extended reef about 100 m off the shore, but the water over the reef is shallow and snorkeling could be dangerous even were the waves do not appear to be too big. Also there is a traverse current pushing you to the right towards the emerged rocks that are limiting the right side of Ulua beach. In that day there were disturbing waves so we tried to snorkel only on the left side of the reef were the water was deep enough. We had two rounds of snorkeling (about 2.5 hours in total) but we struggled al the time against the lateral pushing current and it is not quite a peaceful snorkel time. Also the water was not very clear. Not so many fish but an interesting underwater landscape. On my snorkeling marking scale in that day the score for Ulua Beach were 4 from a maximum of 5 point. In good weather conditions it cut be a 4.5 snorkeling area.

One of our favorite beaches in Maui. The sand on the West side is very nice, the beach has shade and it is a great place to snorkel as well.

Fantastic beach, great snorkeling here, saw lots of turtles and every type of fish off the beach. Not too crowded, but you need to go early to get a decent spot. Sand is beautiful, easy to get in .

Beautiful hidden gem that is no longer so much hidden. A lot of wedding photographers take their customers here and if it’s 7 couples , considered it crowded. We went early morning to get a decent spot to take my birthday photos, and had a great ti

Quiet beach with black sands and spectacular views of the sunset. Would have been a perfect place for a Milky Way shot at night but the entire week was cloudy. Great site for photography.

The BEST meals I’ve had in Maui are at Earth Aloha Eats. Amazing plant based options for vegans and non-vegans. Recommend the chick’n burger and the pulled pork fries. Gyro is also tasty (but so packed you might not get to actually wrap it). Come
