The good: The location is excellent right on the water. The breakfast is delicious. There’s always coffee, teas and bakery good available. Main Street is a block up. The staff is super friendly and engaging. Shout out to Jill for helping us plan a great day at Acadia and helping us get last minute accommodations. The rooms are gorgeous, very comfortable and very clean. The meh: none. Great experience I look forward to returning.
We had such a great experience at the Ullikana Inn! It is perfectly located in Bar Harbor, in a central private area away from all the noise. You are 1 minute walk from downtown, the ocean and all the amazing things that Bar Harbor has to offer. The beautiful cottage with great old style rooms is a great value place with so much character!
Fiancee and I stayed here as part of our trip to Maine. It was an excellent part of the trip and the location, a restored 1800s mansion was beautiful. The room was very comfortable and the staff were kind and prepared an excellent breakfast in the morning. The location is perfectly situated next to the bar harbor main street so the stores are a walk away.
We just returned from the Inn. It was hard to leave such a beautiful place. The setting was wonderful and the location was ideal. The room was lovely and the staff was so accommodating. I needed a lamp next to my side of the bed and they went out and bought an extension cord to provide light for me. So much care was taken in the decor and amenities. The breakfasts were delicious and the chef took care of my dietary needs (I’m lactose intolerant) and each day she prepared a special breakfast for me. Eddie, the owner, was so kind as was the entire staff. We loved our stay and hope to return next year.
Such an ideal location for Bar Harbor! Off street parking. You won't need your car, as you can easily walk to lots of shops and restaurants and activities in town. But nice to have your car available when you are ready to drive into Acadia National Park and other towns on Mount Desert Island to explore. Our room was well appointed and had a great outdoor space with chairs for relaxing with a beautiful view of the water. Afternoon cookies were a nice touch. Breakfast was at the neighboring property. Food was good but seating is a bit limited. If you want to get an early start to your day but still partake in breakfast, I recommend arriving a few minutes before the official start time.
Absolutely loved our stay at the Ullikana Inn. It was the perfect location - walking distance to restaurants, shops, and Shore Path and a super short drive to Acadia! Our room was quaint but so cozy and perfect for our two nights in Bar Harbor. I was so sad to leave and miss the Inn. We cannot wait to go back. I would highly recommend. Also, the bed is so comfortable and towels are very plush and soft. They also provide Molton Brown toiletries which smell amazing!
The inn is now under new management. We had a lovely stay in the pinecone room. The price was reasonable, the inn is gorgeous, the staff was helpful and friendly and breakfast of spinach, tomato, egg frittata with balsamic glaze and blueberry muffin was delicious. They accommodated my gluten free request which made me feel even more comfortable. I only wish we could stay longer!!
The cottage is a hidden gem just steps away from the center of town. There is ample parking but we never moved our car since it is walking distance to restaurants, shops and shuttles to Acadia Park. The cottage is clean and comfortable, the staff is friendly and accommodating. The breakfasts at Bass Cottage are included with the stay and is delicious. We had planned on eating breakfast out but after the first day, we decided to have breakfast at the cottage next door. We sat on the lawn and enjoyed the view of the harbor each night. I will be back again.
Very homey and comfortable with a great breakfast. Stayed three nights and had a different breakfast each day. They have a hot water machine in the dining room and a comfortable living room to hang out in. Parking was large enough for a large jeep.
What a great Bed & Breakfast! We stayed in room 1 on the ground floor. It was clean, spacious, had a comfortable bed and lots of natural lighting. The en-suite bathroom was also spacious and we enjoyed the new shower with multiple jets. The breakfas

My husband and I had a lovely time at the Elmhurst! Location is great, right outside Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor. Walkable to everything! The breakfast was delish and Cheryl was an accommodating hostess. Comfortable beds and accommodations. We wil
Beautiful, historic bed and breakfast in the heart of bar harbor. All the shops and restaurants are within walking distance and it is minutes away from Acadia National Park. The owners and staff are very kind and made our stay very comfortable and me
The innkeeper Chris was so warm and intentional and present, making us feel welcome. He also stayed up personally make sure we could get in very late at night, helped us plan around the marathon so we still had a stellar couple days. We stayed in Oct
This is the place to go if you want coffee and a nice breakfast sandwich with chill vibes. I highly recommend the âBlack Pumpkinâ. Their iced coffee black with their pumpkin flavoring is perfect. No creamer necessary. The sausage and egg and che
Believe all the 5 star reviews. Fab spotless room with a bed so big you need never touch your partner ever again. Walking distance to the town so no need to worry about where to park as your car is at the hotel. Very friendly and helpful reception st

Visited in the off season, stunning easy flat walk, while not paved it is for the most part accessible and hazard free. For folks that like to climb on rocks atleast during our visit we where able to climb around on the rocks during lower tide
Amazing experience staying at Emeryâs Cottages! The location is gorgeous, especially in the early morning and sunset. Chris kindly offered his recommendations for us to explore the area and all of his suggestions were spot on. They have kayaks to r
The BEST! Very fresh ingredients, tons of coffee options & vegan options. Pickup is very easily accessible as well, we have been picking up a sandwich and then packing it on our hikes. I could eat here every day :)
This was such a beautiful place for an easy hike. We loved that it wasn't crowded and the views at the end were breathtaking! Make sure check the rocky areas in the water for seals!
Decided to stop here while staying in the area. Definitely an excellent decision! Staff was friendly, helpful and remembered my order on the second day. I got a couple hot and an iced almond milk latte with vanilla along with an egg, cheese and sausa
