Tyringham Cobble Park - Featured Reviews (114)
Tyringham Cobble provides phenomenal views of area from its lookout points, along with featuring a large rock shaped like a bunny. The summit is reached by a circling trail that climbs 400 feet (122 meters) in about 1 mile (1600 meters). The trail has rocks, roots, and small ravines, and while footing is relatively stable, this is not a good walk for an inexperienced hiker. For those able to manage the trail, the quick but strenuous jaunt is worth the trip.
This place was recommended and it was really great! Really nice hike, went counter clockwise. The beginning is a steady up hill will say on the moderate level. Definitely need some cardio in you but once you get to the top the views are really pretty. The sections of trees are really nice too! The trail itself is marked well just make sure you are paying attention because you do hit the Appalachian trial! Wouldn't want to go to ME or GA!
Beautiful, lesser-known spot to hike/walk in the fields and woods, and an excellent place to enjoy Autumn color. The full loop hike is not terribly long, but there are intermittent steep areas, so it still provides some good leg work. Overlooks at the ridge are perfect for a snack break or picnic lunch.
Yet another wonderful Trustees property featuring the relatively effortless Cobble Loop Trail and no shortage of clean, clear fresh air and beautiful flora. Hiking the Appalachian Trail on your bucket list? This scenic property surprises with the opportunity to begin your first leg here while traversing a portion of the loop trail. A pleasantly located picnic table adjacent to the parking lot, provides the additional bonus of rewarding al fresco dining afterward, under the refreshing canopy of shade trees.
Beautiful hike with amazing views! In my opinion, the loop feels like an intermediate hike, but it also leads onto the Appalachian Trail if one would like a more challenging trail.
This is a great place to go for an hour to an hour and a half long hike around the loop. There are a few great scenic vistas and the uphill climb isn't too bad. the trail is moderately trafficked so you are going to run into other people. Some of the rock formations are amazing to see. This is definitely a place worth hiking.
Very nice quick hike. Good views and good steps sections to get the most out of the short distance. We bring our 3 yr old and 1 yr old and they love it.
Was a really nice walk. Loop was a little over 2m when you include the parking log connector trail.
