I stayed at Twelve Senses for the past 3 nights and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The attention to detail in the decor and amenities was truly impressive, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The breakfast offerings were outstanding—delicious and beautifully presented in baskets right to my room, showcasing a great variety of fresh, local ingredients. Our host, Anke, was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure every aspect of our stay was perfect. She pours every ounce of herself into creating magical experiences for her guests. It’s like she’s opening up her home and greets you like a family member. If you're looking for a charming and well-cared-for place to stay with top-notch hospitality and food, I highly recommend.

Fabulous, clean, understated luxurious, cozy. Super dog friendly. Well-appointed with amenities. Wonderful service. Delicious healthy breakfast. We stayed in the water room which was upstairs and close to the outdoor balcony terrace. Good size for 2 adults and small dog. Highly recommend and would most definitely revisit. Also did the sound bowl session which was a lovely private experience and very reasonably priced.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay here. It’s not a typical chain corporation hotel, but a beautiful boutique bed-and-breakfast. The room doesn’t come with a TV but the whole point of this place is disconnect from electronic devices and relax. We appreciate all the high quality materials used in the room that are handpicked by the owner, and slept so well because of their organic cotton beddings. Their organic breakfast was also delicious. The beach is less than 10 minutes away, and there are great restaurants nearby. It’s a small business owned by a woman and I highly recommend it.

My husband and I had a two night stay at Twelve Senses recently. We absolutely loved it! Our room “FIRE” was tastefully done and very clean. Even though it is situated across the high school parking lot and at a four way stop which gets noisy in the morning, it is very quiet at night. Breakfast is simple yet extremely delicious. I highly recommend this B&B when you are in the Encinitas area.

Twelve Senses Retreat is my new favorite staycation location in beautiful Encinitas. I stayed here two nights in the Air room and it was a DREAM. Such thoughtfully curated decor and layouts to the space. I absolutely LOVED the loose leaf teas, rose, and other goodies that were waiting for me in my room upon arrival. Also the breakfast menu you get to select from each day with delicious local ingredients is unmatched from anything I’ve experienced in SoCal. I had avocado toast with an egg one day and some overnight oats the second morning (see pictures). Anke and her team were also such wonderful, thoughtful and accommodating hosts. This is such a feel good spot to stay. I will 100% be back 💛

The perfect spot in Southern California to be near everything and also have peace. Beautifully designed and every detail is thoughtful. Wonderful hosts. The best high quality breakfast with organic ingredients. I enjoyed a sound bath and there are many treatments which can be selected during your stay. Wonderful experience!

The whole experience at Twelve Senses was perfect. Anke and team made our visit very special and cosy. Every element felt very thoughtful, including the lovely breakfast delivered to our room and the firepit on the roof deck. Extra helpful was the newly installed electric car charger in the parking bay, which was very convenient for us.

We had the most lovely stay for our babymoon this past weekend. The whole set up and design is so relaxing and peaceful. The breakfast each morning was delicious and it was the best latte I’ve ever had! Anke, the owner, is kind, attentive and made us feel right at home. This is a special place. We will absolutely be back.
