Tusker House Restaurant - African restaurant in Kissimmee - Disney\'s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, USA

While Tusker House wasn't often mentioned as the place to go for character dining, I'm so glad our travel agent recommended it! Food was good all around, with an African spin on even familiar dishes. Even the dessert was good, which are often an afterthought in buffets and often taste like store bought cardboard elsewhere (also I'm a sucker for tarts). The service was outstanding and the staff made sure all 4 characters stopped by our table. We saw safari Goofy, Daisy, Donald, and Mickey - they were great, interactive, and ensured we took plenty of photos! Was magical and made us feel like kids again (neither of us went to Disney as kids as we both grew up poor). It was pretty special and I can't wait to one day build a family and take them here if Tusker House is still around!

Loved Tusker House! Food was AMAZING great breakfast options & lunch options too! Desserts were definitely delicious! Great character interactions, probably the best we’ve had at any character dining so far!

This character breakfast in Animal Kingdom at Disney is exceptional. The buffet style service is delicious and makes dining at your pace easy! The character interactions here are super high energy and fun!!! Worth the price for sure!

Come for the characters if you're not going to enjoy the food. So worth it. Guarantee to bring the kid-like out of your adult facade! The food was average. If you've tasted curry, Tikka masala, naan, etc. in the past, which are mostly middle eastern, Indian or Turkish flavor, you wouldn't be able to know the difference. However, if you've tried these varieties in the best, you'll be disappointed. There isn't any flavor or of curry or spiciness to the food. Quite disappointing. However, rest assured that Mickey, Donald, Daisy and Goofy visit your table every 2-5 min!!! Wow, what an amazing attention and memories! All the pics you ever wanted without waiting in long line for hours! Eat, dance and pics all at the same time. Decor is amazing, rustic and unique. Staff are attentive, friendly and courteous. Definitely recommend for the ambient and experience. Pretend you enjoy the food especially when you haven't all day. Price is steep since this is a buffet-$59 per person.

This was a character breakfast i booked for my daughters birthday and boy am i glad i did! Their food and desserts were very good! The characters were incredible! They even gave her a birthday card! We loved it!!

I will not lie. If you are looking for a gourmet restaurant. You will be disappointed. It’s a buffet and some items are delicious. There is enough good food to keep you from starving and be happy. The big plus is about the availability and abundance of Disney characters. They come as much as they can to your table and take pictures. They also dance and keep the diner entertaining. If you have young kids. That’s the right place to be.

Great buffet with lots of variety, better than other Disney food we have seen served up. Nice to see the characters but having entered after 3pm there was no real atmosphere. Our server was great and very attentive. Overall a bit expensive for what you get. Bizarre Disney policy where only one character allowed in each photo.

Great dining option within the 'Africa' section of Animal Kingdom, especially if you prefer to eat unlimited buffets. The food was good (nothing exceptional) and lot of choices for a genuine foodie. More importantly, this is a great place to meet up Disney Characters and kids will surely love to be here. The only downside I feel is, this place is very pricey for what they offer. For me, this was average value for money.
